Peaceful New Year's Road Trip in Armenia

Happy New Year and Merry christmas. I stayed near your starting point in a hotel (Olympic I think)the first time i visited Armenia and Yerevan. Overlooking the rivier, not realising there was a club down below and keeping awake at night due to the music. Believe there was a tunnel visible on the other side of the canyon wall, never find out why that was used for? A long time ago, 15 years ago, when I was younger, the time goes fast when we having fun. Love your car a FX 35 I believe, i wanted to buy a Niva for Armenia butt the wife said no butt a fx 35 accepted as a good alternative. Love these videos ❤ keep up the good work

@TheHerald45...thanks for you informative reply. Yes, I know the place where you stayed near the Kievyen Bridge. It's a good location except for the music during the warmer months. I think there is a curfew put in place now, where they have to stop playing by 11pm or midnight; so that's an improvement. The tunnel you're referring to was for an extension of the Metro line...but it was never completed. There is talk that the Metro lines will be extended in the future. It certainly would be one way to reduce the huge volume of traffic in the city. Yes, I have the first model FX35...it's been a great car, but a bit thirsty on fuel. I refuse to put it on gas, so just accept the high price of premium unleaded. I bought a brand new UAZ Hunter when we first came to live in Armenia...tried the Niva, but too small for me. The Hunter was a utilitarian car that would go anywhere...great for mountainous adventures on unsealed roads...but it was very uncomfortable, so I bought the FX. It was purchased in the States in 2004 by an ex KGB officer and he nursed it like a little baby. They can be quite expensive to maintain, so last year I decided to fully recondition the engine, brakes and transmission, as the car was getting a bit tired. Now, it drives like a new car! @@ArmenianLifewithMitch Love your video's with you wife. they give a good insite in the life in Armenia. I like the Niva for it looks butt my brother in law also says it is to small for me I am 2 meter en 125 kg. so it will not fit me according to him. In Holland I drive a outlander hybride does about 18 km on a liter that is not to bad for a car that weights 2000kg with me in it.
