The police would have held him for longer even though they didn't have any charges against him. It is always possible they 'could' have made up a charge such as disorderly conduct or something else depending on his demeanor with the officers. Joshua obviously knows his rights and is exercising them. I am a former officer and detective and I know my rights as well. Back in 2021 I protested with these similar signs in front of a high school that was giving the experamental jabs that day and an officer came up to me and argued with me that I was on private property when I wasn't. I was on the sidewalk on public property and he threated to arrest me if I didn't move several feet down the sidewalk far away from the entrance to the school. I stood my ground and asked for a supervisor and they were able to clarify that I was correct. Please learn your rights and don't let officers scare you into complying. There is a youtube channel that I highly recommend called Audit The Audit that will help everyone learn their rights and give good directions when dealing with law enforcement.
