@@aaronshibu1450 yea exactly. I feel it should happen. It's set up perfectly, she is in deep, even ready to leave although things are getting better with the crew. She is pretty straightforward and doesnt have much background needed minus the mystery with her mom. It's already hinted in the very beginning that her wife notices she can be in trouble with her like of work. It would play out well to let things hit the fan and have the worst happen to her already, contradicting her downplay of the job's dangers.

I believe they’re going to end up as the good guys (butterflies). Why, because it’s a twist on the alien invasion thing. Plus in the preview of episode 6 you see the butterfly write a peace sign on the drawer that he’s in. Does that mean Peacemaker will get the butterfly up his butt or the butterflies really came in peace?!

The conversation between Murn, and the new police chief, seemed to explain to the audience that they’ve fought in other battles together and seems that both were blood thirsty in their past. Not to mention they are at war with another group besides humans (good and evil butterfly war while secretly invading earth)

Or same scenario and got taken over later and Waller doesn't know. Cause Waller is smart and sure would have checked all their heads before bringing them on the operation. Either way I think he'll be a good guy. Just lookin to live in peace on earth but has to take down the bad butterflys first. Next ep will be a interesting conversation between Murn and Wallers daughter. Haha.

Hiding his diary was very clearly a frame up job for Peacemaker. After their current job was done, Waller would call the police and they would find the diary that incriminates him, sending him to jail and back in the hands of Waller in one neat tiny bow. One snag however is the police are getting a warrant for him too soon as seen in the last episode. It's all going to come back and bite Adebayo in the butt when Peacemaker realizes she betrayed her. The one person he thought he could be genuine friends with and she was playing him from the start. Damn, I love this show, it's so obvious but there are so many different levels it keeps you entertained and invested.

Calling it now: Eagley is a butterfly and Peacemaker will have to face off against his best friend in the finale. Now that we know that butterflies can be in animals as well, that would be a James Gunn gut punch in the feels.

I think it's her basically fighting with her own nature and her mother's. Her own nature is that she genuinely likes and respects Peacemaker and wants to be his friend- but her mother's nature dictates that they should use people as a means to an end and nothing more. It's sort of the same thing with peacemaker, battling the behaviors and influence of their parents and their own desires to be a good person

Hey Ryan, there is so much hair metal that’s a part of this show. It really goes deep and the records in episode one like Prettty Boy Floyd and Cinderella song Push Push were in the end credits of ep. 2 I think. I would love to have an Easter egg breakdown of all the glam rock that also feels so connected to the music from the movie ‘The Wrestler’ with Mickey Rourke. He would phych himself up before a match similar to how Peacemaker does on missions.

Paul Kupperberg also wrote for comics and did a well-received run on VIGILANTE for DC in the 1980s (among many others.) It was there that he reinvented PEACEMAKER for the DCU and from that intro that the PM mini-series (also scripted by PK) spun out. Then PM was also picked up and used by Ostrander in Suicide Squad as part of all the spy/agency sorts active at the time (Ostrander appeared in the 2nd SS movie)

White Dragon is a prior DCU character (also created by Ostrander, like John Economos) but he had no connection to PM in the comics. Emelia Harcourt was from the comics, but a different iteration of Suicide Squad. Other possible DCU connections re: The Butterflies?? Mr. Mind...the extra-dimensional space caterpillar that controls minds.
