I love that although they made Peacemaker and Vigilante goofy idiots, they're still badass in a fight and with weapons. So often those types of characters are just there to get beat up. I hope Gunn keeps doing comic book stuff, him and Taika are great at it.

I'm from Minnesota, and the duck duck grey duck thing works better than you think. It's not an immediate giveaway. It's not Duck, duck, duck, duck, grey duck like you said, where the first "gr" gives it away. You say various ducks to try to throw them off. Example: "Fast duck, slow duck, yellow duck, sad suck, grrrre_______een duck, orange duck, blue duck, little duck, big duck, grrre___eat duck, James duck, Maseau duck, Robat battinduck, GREY DUCK!!!!!" A lot more fun, interesting, and dare I say intellectual than simple Duck Duck Goose.

Not really. It was a snap decision by one of the high-ups on the board, and they pretty much immediately realised they'd been played by bad-faith actors, but couldn't walk it back straight away because of corporate politics about appearing weak or indecisive. Gunn mentioned it in an interview one time, they basically said "Go lay low, do some other stuff for a bit until the air clears on this". He wasn't even really properly "fired", because he didn't have a fully active film in production at the time.
