That is so AWESOME Robbie and Gary. I don't use chemicals in the garden. I watched a video from 8 years ago. And this man shared this statement "Good Farmers don't grow plants, they grow soil" That is so true isn't Robbie! Thank you for sharing with us. Much love from South Africa❤ 🇿🇦❤

I agree 100%. I've got two old, over 30yrs old!, Ficus trees in pots. Every couple yrs the leaves curl free& spot. I give it a good hair cut & fish fertilizer & my compost... the leaves come back greener & better than ever🪴🪴💚

Great job on correcting the problem without chemicals. I cut off any bad looking leaves on my tomatoes and other plants.

Not only removing the diseased leaves, but I think that compost tea that is full of vitamins and antioxidants really gave it a boost! I have got to plant some collard in my garden!😊 My fig tree could really use a boost!

I have never heard of curly leaf disease, so thank you for sharing this to help us know what to do if we have it. As creative as you are, you will figure out how to tulle it so you and Gary get the nectarines 😊😊❤❤😊😊
@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy Жыл бұрын
The only reason it is not tulled yet is I am doing other stuff around here and by evening I think, there is always tomorrow and if I wait too long, the deer will be SO Happy, LOL

@@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy I kept saying that I needed to tulle one of my Lemon tomato plants because 2 of the tomatoes were getting ripe, but I kept putting it off , and then I spotted one of the tomatoes in the yard and a squirrel nibbling on it lol. Needless to say, I dropped what I was doing and tulled my tomato plant 🪴 🙃 😅.

We also had peach leaf curl. After picking off most leaves it self corrected. I do however have to thin fruit every year or major branches break. Love your videos. I just started my channel and it is slow going. Mainly just put tips on for friends and family. It is a lot of fun. Thank you ❤

That’s terrific Robbie. I love your solution. Can you put tulle on top of the tree and let the deer have some bottom branches? Just wondering. Nectarines are so delicious. Looks like you have an abundant crop this year.

We've had Peach Leaf Curl for several years. Our Peaches were always still Delicious! This year I noticeed we don't have any, Yay! However, we have an abundance of small Peaches. Hoping I didn't leave too many on. All I did was pick as many of the curly leaves as I could! Thank You! Enjoy your vids and have learned so much!

I'm so jealous of you all who live in the southern states. You can just go outside & pick all that delicious fruit . Living in Massachusetts we get apples but none of the other fruits I love.

Hi. I grew up in N.H. and we had wonderful peach and plum trees. You just need a variety that is okay with cold winters. I'm in agreement with Robbie's citrus fruits - they look so good!

I did spray my peach tree this year, curly leaf fungus was bad last year! I did not get the most recommended copper spray, our local store didn't have it. Last year I did what you did, get all the infected leaves I could reach off and threw most in the garbage. This year it had much less, but we had also pruned it majorly!!! It is really big😊 and yes, the growth that comes later is usually fine once the bad stuff is taken out.
@kstewart3901 Жыл бұрын
Just an idea, have you tried spraying the tree with some of your compost tea? It might help even more to do a foliar feed and maybe even kill off the fungus. It certainly won't hurt the tree. Good luck!
@RobbieAndGaryGardeningEasy Жыл бұрын
No, I haven’t done that, sometimes that water really stinks. Maybe one day but right now it’s working by feeding the roots but good thought. 😊

I'd put a nurse pot next to it. A big pot or tote with your compost in place layers and some soil and something planted in it. Something that doesn't need full sun, obviously, but I'd feed it. It looks to be on "the edge of barren" where it is. Rather than all lush and green like the rest of your growing areas.

The issue is, it is full of fruit, hundreds of fruit on there, I do have a Composting bin right next to it that Gary built, which we water, and I do believe is helping that tree too now. Thanks 😊

I have heard about spraying leaves with compost tea as a preventative for pest and diseases. I am going to try it out to see how it goes with my lime tree that periodically gets leafminer on leaves.

Robbie, I have a question. I live in an apt with a patio on the ground level. I try to grow cherry tomato but the possum's or rats eat the tomato's. So, I saw on one of your videos that you made a cover will stakes, irrigation tubing and ? What is that mesh you use and where did you get it? Would that keep the possum's and rats from eating my tomatoes?
