Jack has a pretty good game face but the disappointment in what he saw is hard to hide. Honestly, those Xotic guys didn't seem prepared for a tour.

My observations too. In my experience (I own a light aged XSC-1), Xotic are very good at marketing and advertising but build is fairly standard (mine had a wrongly cut nut from new) and support is just not there. Jack is very diplomatic. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Peach stopped stocking Xotic.

They can "produce" this many guitars because their bodies and Neck are made by another company. So they basically do nothing but paint and assemble Strat and Tele guitars. This is also the reason they cannot offer much Custom options.

Does Xotic make their own bodies and necks or assemble and finish generic parts or parts made just made for them? I’m very confused about exactly what they do because they don’t appear to be making anything themselves. As for their Plek machine, the nut on my XSC-1 was wrong out of the box and when they eventually responded, their advice was to use superglue and to buy a nut file!

I was interested until I looked and saw they are one of those companies that charges hundreds of dollars more for a lefty. I'll keep with Tom Anderson and Suhr, they don't discriminate.

Has anyone ever seen a truly aged guitar that looks like the factory aged ones? hmmmm.... if so....1 in a million. So, why the hub-bub over relic'ing??? I'm getting a used LSL tomorrow...lightly aged which will look 'natural' and cause me to NOT worry about adding scratches and dents.....and the level of relic'ing didn't cost original owner/me a mint. Oh,...I miss Jack.

WTF - they are still a small business. Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug started out in a small shop at the beginning of Taylor Guitars. I have an Xotic XSC-2 and the quality and tone is as good as my Fender Custom Shop guitars. As another person commented though, they did not look like they were prepared for the tour or used to giving tours of the shop.

Government or corporate regulations for worker and/or consumer safety is not socialism. BTW, California's economy (if ranked as a country) is about 5th largest in the world. Whoa, that was a really crappy tour. Bunch of rambling, and meaningless words from the workers at Xotic; no substance. Damn, that was cringey and disappointing. In comparison, LSL has a much more interesting and satisfying tour.
