Hi Peach fam! 🍑 Today the Peach cast tries 4 French cheeses for the first time! I love French cheeses but it is quite difficult (and very expensive) to find them in Korea... The 4 cheeses I made them try are Brie, Camembert, Epoisses and Bleu d'Auvergne. These 4 cheeses alone costed 68,000wons ($60!! 😱), so Korea is definately a difficult place to live for all the cheese lovers... Genie, Taekwang and Suho took the challenge anyway, it was very fun to shoot this topic but a mental torture for me as I couldn't eat any of those 🤣 Anyway I hope you will like it! Love, Yeseul

Those types of cheeses are pretty expensive everywhere sadly. At least from what I've seen they are expensive where i live in the US, and also online. In my local supermarket normal artisan cheeses usually cost $8-$36 per pound (454g) with the 'cheap' ones usually being young mozzarella or mild cheddar, and the expensive ones often being french ones, or highly aged ones. Lately i have been super into Saint Andres triple cream brie, Cowgirl Creamery Mt. Tam brie, Jasper hill farm's Harbison, Spring Koe spring goat gouda, Daneko Danish Havarti, Jasper Hill farm Cabot clothbound cheddar, Murray's Bucheron goat cheese, Comte Gruyere, Cypress grove truffle tremor goat cheese, Cypress grove Midnight moon gouda, and many more! Dont forget lots of different condiments (honey/mustard etc), fruits (pears/berries etc), charcuterie (salami/prosciutto etc), vessels (crackers/bread etc), and drinks (wine/beer etc) to have tons of delicious fun trying all different types of flavor combinations!

This was fun watch, tho I wish you could have tried cheeses also with something else than just baguette! I’m not very fond of blue cheese either 😅 but it goes if I eat it on top of gingerbread, some of us in Finland enjoy it like that. I like to put together nice cheese platters for my enjoyment now and then. Smoked cheese with dried meat, harder ones that have crunchy salt crystals within, white or red mould cheeses that are little melty go so well with fruits, nuts and berries! Aaaand now I am hungry 😂

Yeah, for strong cheeses, eating it with bread or even better, buttered bread, makes it much more enjoyable! I almost never eat blue cheese alone. There are bacteries in every cheeses, French or not. Otherwise, milk would stay milk 😉 Various bacteries make various cheeses. Never heard about Epoisse being forbidden in the Metro and I can't find any reference for it on the internet either. Sounds like a joke from your boyfriend, Yeseul-nim 😜 It's really rare to see anyone eating anything in the metro anyway; it's not polite. Interesting to see two Korean people pick it among the four cheeses. It was considered the best cheese a long time ago, but it's pretty rare to eat it nowadays.

Imported cheese sure is expensive in Korea. Just had a quick google search what the prizes for these exact brands are here in Germany, was 3-6€ each totaling around 20€ (26,700 Won).

Finally some real cheese! :D I thought Yeseul bought it all for herself at home but it was for this video! I like cheese a lot. In the morning I prefer the very light kinds of cheese and in the evening I sometimes like to eat something like white or red smear cheeses (looking like Epoisses) My friend had a cheese named "Harzer" in his fridge. It is a hard and dry cheese. He had to wrap it multiple times in cling film and it was still smelling in his fridge. So yes guys, there are even worse smelling cheeses.

Makes me soo happy they liked it ❤ i think its really interesting that we all around the globe ferment produce to preserve it, and traveling and experiencing food on the long run truly makes you realise that we all have some pretty interesting foods, no food is gross, just truly interesting ❤ i tried fermented rice from Vietnam called Mĕ (not the correct Intonation because my keyboard isnt in vietnamese) which is normal in Vietnam, whenever i come accross food that intimitates me i think about a cheese from my country that is really intimitating but tasty (look for tiroler graukas) but super delicious and i realise i should at least try, because most things are delicious even if it's accuired taste ❤

Hey Yeseul :) I wonder how you managed to get these ! We spoke a bit on IG last week and as I told you, I wanted to send you some French cheese a few months ago but I was denied because there are apparently some strict regulations about shipping dairy products from France to Korea :'( ... I'll still bring you some when I come to Seoul even if you already made a video about it ;)... But this may explain why they were so expensive for you. As an addendum: * Epoisses is mainly used as a cooking ingredient these days, rarely eaten as-is except in the region where it is produced. * Bleu cheese is kind of divisive in France, kind of like ultra spicy ramyeon in Korea: there is a sizeable part of the population that truly likes and enjoys it, but a lot of people also kind of have the same reaction as Taekwang in the video ;)... Like Epoisses, it is also very common as a cooking ingredient, in some sauces made for pasta or for steak, but it is also widely consumed as regular cheese. * The brand of camembert you tasted is quite good but is noticeably stronger and more bitter than regular camembert (that's one of the characteristics of that brand) so I'll bring you some that is more traditional so you can compare. * You absolutely HAVE TO try goat cheese. It's very different from these, and a staple of French cheese culture too! Oh and unrelated to cheese: I know it's kind of a stereotype, and you hear it often when Americans speak about French people, but no one in France has used "Sacrebleu" in any kind of serious sentence for like more than 100 years or something. It's a deprecated word so let's kill this stereotype once and for all :p

I'm french from normandie, je suis contente qu'ils aiment le camembert 😁 Mais je suis choqué de voir tout les fromages qu'ils aiment, jls sont moins difficiles que les jeunes français XD Anyway, we eat cheese with every food for exemple: bread, pasta, potato, tomato, meat, etc etc So one cheese could have good taste for you just on one food, the taste change with cooking so, you can try and bon appétit ;) And the "sacre bleu" was really funny, where i live we say "oh non de diou" or (sorry for this expression 😬😅) "ça décalotte" 😂 Your french pronunciation is very good, congratulations 🤗

It's an acquired taste. My region has a lot of blue cheese and Ive been eating it since I was a kid. For me is just like any other cheese. When I was in France missing home I would eat bleu d'auvergne with some bread and quince paste for breakfast 😅
