I hope to get my friend's 3 females , because she got them for a science fair project with no plan for their future. She will likely not be able to keep them, and they will probably go to her science teacher. Her teacher has no experience with rodents, only reptiles (he won't feed them to the reptiles, btw). His reptiles are in cages improperly set up and sized. I really want to help these poor girls, thanks for the info.

Hi, I'm a snake owner. (oh god) My snake does not want to eat frozen anymore, even though I've tried everything. So I intend on feeding live, sadly enough. This however does not mean I want the mice to suffer. I plan on getting full settups and propper care for the mice i bring in, so they will live comfortably and happy But i do not know where to get one. I don't want to support mice breeder mills but i also don't want to take away anyone's future pet. Any thoughts on where I could get any ethically?

Hi, is a play box required if you have a lot of toys in their cage? I also may not be able to play with them an hour a night. I’m considering getting mice, I go to two houses (one for my mom, one for my dad) and I have no pets at my dads. I go their a few days every other week, but he is willing to take care of a pet when I’m gone, although I don’t think he would play with them. I would probably interact with them a lot when I go though there though. I have to go between houses cause parents are divorced.

Very nice video. On Saturday we went to a local pet shop which recently started selling animals including mice. Before then, finding mice was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Their standard of care is great and the animals seem well socialised. My mum, dad and little brother were rather interested in getting a few mice but we just don't have the space atm.

So yesterday there was this dead field mouse in the street and this guy went over and kicked it. Well it wasn’t dead but it couldn’t get up so the guy thought It would be fun to kick it again. After he walked away I picked her up, and took her with me. I thought she was just gonna pass away cuz she was pretty beat up but after about an hour she started perking up and eating. She seems to have a bit of neurological problems because she was kicked but otherwise she seems normal. I don’t know if she can be released into the wild because of her head problems. She seems to be female and I’m really torn about getting her a friend. Since she is a wild mouse she has the possibility of carrying diseases and I don’t want to get her a friend and then have the friend get sick. On the other hand I don’t want her to be lonely. If u have any suggestions it would really help. Thanks
@peachypetparadise27
@peachypetparadise27 6 жыл бұрын
What a heartless man that was... nothing aggravates me more when I see humans being cruel to animals. I'd like to see him being kicked on the ground twice by a giant, let's see how he'd like that. I'm not surprised she was beat up, mice are tiny fragile rodents and can easily be injured. I'm glad you tried to save her in but yes she is a wild mouse and unfortunately it's not something you can keep in your room. For now I would put her in a box with holes in or even a rodent carrier (if you have one) and the best thing you can do is take her to a wildlife rescue, they will know what to do. They usually care for hedgehogs so I don't see why they wouldn't take in a mouse :)

I have some questions about my mice! Btw they are pets but i also breed them for my snake. The food that I'm giving my mice is the block type. The food is called Wild Harvest Daily Blend Mouse and rat. Also is it necessary that I have to give my mice vegetables. I have noticed my male mouse is fat like my pregnant female but i know 100% that he is a male. I just need tips because my mice were left in the basement to breed and didn't get too much care. I've never owned mice as pets before. It was my brother who used to take care of them. Also I need tips on my pregnant mouse, i gave her toilet paper tubes to make a nest and some toilet paper but she doesn't seem to be nesting even though she is over 14 days pregnant. So yeah, I'm new to this but i'm trying to give my mice a good life :)

I have 2 rats and my brother wants mice. This video really helped a lot! I already use aspen bedding! My cage is also the same as the one for your mice! I have oxbow for my rats and was wondering if mice could have the rats food as well. I saw the mouse and rat oxbow but i was wondering for my brother. He’s also really irresponsible and i think i’ll end up caring for them. Haha! This video did actually really help! Thanks so much for the information! My brother definitely seems ready. I’m just anxious he won’t be able to care for them properly. My cage is very good for my two girls and was wondering if mice could live in the same one. I got it from a local pet store and possibly (when he’s ready. With all the money) get the same one? Thanks so much again! and i am an animal lover and might over spoil all the pets i get! I know a bit too much about rats and mice are quite similar. I will defiantly keep watching your videos! I also have the exact same carrier! 😂 mice and rats are SO ALIKE! Again x2 thanks!

I would keep the cage somewhere quiet in your house, away from drafts, not direct sunlight or right up against a window. Also you could put the cage on a cabinet, table, desk, or in a corner of a room. Also if you have any cats, I would keep the door shut for safety reasons obviously :)

Hello, I was wondering about something. I have a male feeder mouse as a pet, i wanted to get him a female fancy mouse as a friend because i can not find any female feeder mice around me. Can a feeder mouse live with a fancy mouse or will my mouse be happier alone?

PEACHY PETPARADISE Thanks! It’s hard to tell in the pic, but they have identical markings but on one (Loig) her markings are tan. On the other (Star) her markings are dark grey. Star has black eyes. Loig has one red eye and one crimson eye. Thanks again! Btw Loig is pronounced Loyg.

I'm sorry to hear that. I can't really tell you which one you should go for but I can suggest doing a lot of research into both gerbils and mice and then that will hopefully help you decide. Hopefully some mouse videos on my channel will help including this video but I definitely suggest researching on internet, especially on mouse forums. I can't really help you with gerbils as I have never owned them but I suggest looking on gerbil forums. Of course you are free to ask questions on mice but I can't really assist you with gerbils. Any specific things you would like to know about mice, just ask me and I will get back to you :)

@@springfoxyki123eclipsegatc3 I see. Well although it's kind of you to want to help out these babies and take care of them, it wouldn't be fair on them being kept as domestic mice. You could however put them back with the mother (if you can find her) and let her give them the care they need and provide milk only she can supply. She is probably out looking for them wondering where they have gone. Or you could look after them temporarily until they are able to walk, climb and eat by themselves. I would just feed them plain cooked egg for now for protein

sometimes you feel a bit bad cos in the wild these animal explore HUGE areas but then we put them in tiny cages. I want at least a big cage. Like some floor to ceiling operation. A robotic cleaning system. Like a car windscreen wiper, sweeps the cage clean with the press of a button. Even automating a fish tank can be an unpleasant looking DIY contraption. Cat's are better animals, fully self maintaining.
