They would ask me to play roblox on my phone, I kinda live. The weird thing for me that i just noticed recently is the choice to make them the same color as theyr older sisters, like... The sterlings, the Madisons, devious, none of them needs to be the same color to be related so why pull that now??? 💀 the designs could be better if they took that liberty and make more unique characters, idk.

I don’t buy the „it’s for small kids „ excuse anymore. I have a 15 year old daughter and a toddler girl. My younger daughter absolutely hates dolls without articulation. She gets angry and frustrated when the knees don’t bend to sit down or the arms can not bend for hugging. Yes, she struggles with too much articulation like Barbie made to move. But she loves the simple click knees and single joints of Disney store dolls, for example. I don’t get why aside from the Disney store no company uses the simple click knees in the rubber like legs anymore. LOL has them but they’re very limited but it’s better than nothing. She’s not even two and already wants to brush hair and redress the dolls. I understand not everyone is the same but lots of kids like some articulation and want to redress the dolls. Small kids mainly play by copying what the people around them do. So they want the dolls to cuddle, to sit down, to ride a horse, whatever it is that the child sees. They play and learn through that. In general Id like siblings because many kids have siblings or cousins, even I,der friends etc., so they’d like playing stories with those . But why dress them exactly like the older sibling and in a style that no kids that age would wear?

Part of me wonders if they just scraped together characters from s1 and s2 with popular colors (pink, blue, purple, rainbow) because we dont even have a full rainbow: no green, no orange. It also makes me wonder if they added indigo in last minute to have more skintone variety, since the last releases lacked that. Because with indigo we got 2 purple dolls in one release (I GUESS shes purple cuz crystal was the purple doll in s2???), so it makes me wonder if this was originally intended 🤔(also she wasnt included in the OG leaks)

I'm gonna be honest, this looks like a crossover between a Chelsea doll and Rainbow High, and not exactly in a good way. I will admit though that I do like Indigo Bailey as a favorite and a little on Magenta Monroe but that's about it. I don't see why they made new little sisters for this series instead of using the Little Mint coloured girl in the show right now whose name escapes me at the moment but you get what I mean. They could have maybe also made the current characters as these younger versions of themselves that's younger than their Junior High selves. Also, the sudden introduction of little sisters that were never mentioned before kind of throws me off.

i think these dolls are … fine, for what they are. these are at least more honest about being targeted to children (vs the slime dolls, which are just. confusing all around). do i think the quality is not great? yes. do i think mga could’ve done a lot better? absolutely. will i be buying any of these? absolutely not! but these dolls are not For Me. and that’s ok! some small child may love these dolls. these may be their introduction to the worlds of fashion and fashion dolls. the things we adult collectors don’t like about these dolls - lack of articulation, plastic clothing, painted eyes, simple outfits - children probably don’t care about these things. articulated joints break easily, so i’m thinking there was a tiny bit of thought on mga’s part for safety and durability considering the child target audience. same for the simple outfits (fewer parts to fuss with) and molded plastic top choice (easier to clean). the poly hair however is truly an unforgivable choice, i do agree with that. children deserve good toys and we all know that poly hair is gonna be a tangled mess five minutes out of the box 😒

I also thought about the rainbow high that will come out this time. It has such a long history, it's been loved, I think it's now established as an adult doll, not a children's doll. If so, I think it's time to pay more attention to the doll itself than incidental things such as pets and bags.

The art style is cute and the dolls look okay but I know I would rather have their clothes all able to be removed so I could dress them in what I had on hand, though with plastic tops you can also just put another shirt over them. I think it's time to increase the value of the doll itself. in that it's an adult doll. I think the importance of the elbow, chest line, pelvis, and joints is great along with the flexibility of the joints. I think I'll be very satisfied if that alone improves. It's the too large forehead. That's probably why you like the blonde doll the best because her hair is swept over part of her forehead. Nope, this is the last nail in the coffin for me. I have no plans to get anymore dolls from this company. As far as I’m concerned, MGA has totally destroyed a good thing they had going. I loved the old sh & rh dolls, but I guess they decided Not to be a successful brand with some of the most high quality dolls out there. Why? I see a big tombstone with Rh/sh in it along with MGA 🪦 😭😭
