Okay, I am a person with arachnophobia. Really bad arachnophobia. But that dang little spider managed to melt my heart with that little head tilt he did at 0:09. And his dancing isn't too bad either.

I had arachnophobia at one time because my brother put a humongous grass spider on me when I was 4-5 years old. It didn’t matter even when I had become a biologist- knowing they couldn’t bite through my skin or most aren’t toxic enough to harm us didn’t matter. Just the thought of one being on me causes me nightmares. I still don’t want one near me but I’m not phobic. I got over the phobia because of a jumping spider. One showed up on the ceiling over my bed. They aren’t known for dangling from a web so I left it alone and would watch it going about it’s life. This went on for months and I became attached to the little guy. One day he wasn’t there. I searched the bedspread carefully and found his lifeless body. I was really sad and missed the little guy. I don’t kill insects as a rule except black widows. If I saw a brown recluse and identified it, it would be history too. When I saw a gigantic wood spider inside on the brick hearth, very near me, I became physically nauseous. Fortunately I hade a huge jar, caught him and moved him far away from the house in the woods- far better place for him than inside my house! He was at least 3” in diameter- “foot” to “foot.” Giving me the creeps right now!
