Awesome garden! Just a heads up. The kiwi vines will take over your life… they’re no joke when they take off. 😅

@@InOrdertoEat I agree. I've been binge watching both of your channels. Much better than anything else I can find! And I'm in central GA, so much of your contest applies to me. Same growing zone, same climate, same clay soils.

Your honeyberry aka Haskap is a shrub about 4' wide and probably 7-8 foot tall at maturity. - it does not need trellising. That trellis impresses me every time I see it. I am surprised at how many pumpkins you grow and don't eat them..to funny. The question is why? lol. I grow Nanking Cherry up here in Zone 3 as well - I quite like them. Some Black current is a good naturalizing shrub if you are looking for one..and so good. Uses the edges is great if you don't get snow - lol. The true edge here is the edge of the bush which along my driveway grows all sorts of food to forage - pin cherry, chokecherry and this year beaked hazelnut, to mention a few. Do you have the look alike to puff balls? The look alike is poisonous I understand - the only difference is one is round on the bottom and the other is tear dropped kind of - scared me enough so that I won't try ...lol. Glad to hear you don't like them. Have you tried pheromone traps hung at the top of the apple trees to keep the bugs away? You sure have a lot of trees scattered around - good stuff! The gardens and trees look great. Thanks for the walk around - I enjoyed that!

We do eat a few of the pumpkins, can only eat so many pies though. I often feed them to the chickens & worms, so they're good for that. Black currant is actually illegal here, something to do w/ spreading pine tree diseases is my understanding. The difference in edible puffballs is if they're white on the inside. Poison puffs are gooey & black in the middle, it's a pretty easy one to differentiate. I'd also be sure the puffballs are growing on the ground, I have seen some sort of mushroom that looks like a puffball growing on rotten wood before (can't remember what they were called, I think they're technically some type of mold).

@@InOrdertoEat Fair enough. That's interesting about currants. Fair enough, we have a couple different varieties of puff ball here, pear shaped being one of them...have not seen the ones you describe. Thanks for the info.

@@InOrdertoEat by the way in a couple of days I’ll be picking my first Kibler Okra of the season! I’ve been struggling with the chicken and dumplings cow peas, but I had 6-8 plants that are starting to take off. 🤞 Thanks!
