There are a plenty of youtube videos available on the internet that explained how to effectively read scientific journals, articles, and papers, but yours is really worth to me.

I've been in my PhD program for a year. I've read many articles and read articles about how to read articles. I've had professors make recommendations as well, but this is the most concise and detailed explanation. And has been helpful in improving my ability to screen articles quickly and effectively. I'm very grateful. New subscriber!

I have been reading journal articles word for word for three years now of my four year degree, and only now have I started feeling like the points you mentioned are really the only parts I needed to be reading. Thank you for confirming what I have started to feel now for the past good couple months or so 😄❤ My research time just got a whoooole lot more simple.

Mr. Taylor, thank you for your time and patience with developing your videos for us who feel overwhelmed. I feel like I can tackle a literature view with confidence. You have a special craft in breaking down complex challenges and stumbling blocks. Straight the point with no frills attached, thanks again.
Learned more of what I needed to know in the first two minutes of this video than I did in 17 years of school.

Bravo Sir. In the throws of several years and classes of trying to write a literature review, and left unfinished to a last step to my degree, this video explained it better than all the help I have received. I'm more of an abstract writer: essays, lyrics, and phrases. Academic writing overwhelmed me with a mental block unable to break. But, thank God in answering a prayer to help my incomplete task with your video. I have viewed and subscribed your videos and channel previously, however this is it. The simplicity yet detail opened my mind to confidence in going back to drawing board to complete. Every student who is assigned a lit review, who is left without training or knowledge how to, needs to watch this video. Thank you and God bless+

Thank you so much for the great tutorial Mr. David! what I digested below. The title, breakdown technique is applied to answer some critical questions: What/How/Why is it being done? And to whom? note that to make sure the title. Abstracts, as the abstract, is formulated as the article structure (background, method, results, conclusions). Directing the reading followed four main parts and ask yourself: is it relevant to your interest/topics? If it is, move the paper body as follows: + Introduction: What is known (literature review) and is not known (gaps), research questions. + Methods could be ignored as it is for peer reviewers. + Results could be skipped due to only data tables/graphs excluding interpretation. + Conclusion: Significant findings and implications of results. Have a nice day!
