We are already in a big crash Inflation is a catastrophe. This CPI report is a colossal failure. To bring the housing market to a halt, the FED will have to pull all the stops. The unfortunate issue is that other markets are being decimated. If you want to stay green, you have to rely on a lot of diversification. Currently up 14% and being careful. Still a better deal than leaving it in a savings or checking account yielding 0-1 percent interest.

Really loving all these videos, some of the best content on KZbin for learning about what careers in Finance are really like. I'm currently studying Medical Engineering here in Australia, and am looking at entering a Masters program in International Business and Finance because engineering jobs are weirdly enough not very well paid and overly stressful. I've heard having an undergrad in Engineering is highly desired in Finance circles because it helps in analytical and reasoning skills, is this true in your experience? I'm scoping out career options now and am at a bit of a crossroads
@PeakFrameworks4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say highly desired, but an engineering degree is certainly not an impediment. It's probably the most common non business / economics degree. If you're coming from a different background, you have to have enough finance stuff on your resume so people know you're serious about the career.

Great video, man. What do you personally think about careers in IB vs PE? I know a lot of people think of PE as the "promised land" and just use IB as a stepping stone, but do you think a long-term career in IB is comparable? Is one fundamentally better than the other? Thanks!
@PeakFrameworks4 жыл бұрын
Long term I would personally prefer PE. IB is really brutal to sustain and the hours don't get that much older as you grow up. There are lots of different flavors of PE - you could go to a relatively chill firm if you didn't care about being at a mega. One is not "fundamentally better than the other" though. Different personalities will prefer different things.
