I would point out the setting in Birmingham is a cesspool but the Peaky Blinders rule the Small Heath section of the city where there is their sort of law, much less chaotic and safer as long as you don't cross them. Much like gang territories sprang up in Boston and New York among the different immigrant groups. To this day, the safest area of Boston is the Italian section because locals know they will come after you.

The beauty of season 1 is how it progresses nd shows u why tommy is the boss...initially in episode 1 u wont feel like he is the boss bt then beautifully over the next 5 episodes it shows how and why he is the boss

"Everything looks grey", this was set in the 'Black Country' area of Birmingham. It was called the Black Country due to the coal mines and the coal fired foundries of the area. It was very industrial and virtually everything was covered in coal dust making it look dingey and grey. Great reactions guys :)

You two need to focus more on paying attention and listening instead of trying to figure things out yourselves with questions that either have already been answered, or is the kind that can only be answered by watching the show.
