A few years back I had a really mean troll she would call me Jezebel and all kinds of mean things she would leave long long messages and I realized that social media is a play ground for some people who have mental health issues and it was nothing personal these were miserable people who really do not know you from a can of paint 😂 it was just my turn until there next victim arrives ❤ great topic 👍🏽

This is a very good video. Let's start with the trolls: they are there to make you upset & out of sorts, they love knowing they make folks mad. It's like bullies back in school. I have some advice which may seem counterintuitive: when a troll comments with trash on your channel, PIN their comment! It works every time. Trolls want you to feel hurt & sad. But when you celebrate their stupidity in front of all your subscribers, they always disappear fast with their heads between their tails. Trust me, I live in a shack with 4 catbillies & I've received vicious comments as to how bad my place must smell & how messy it is. Please laugh at these losers. They're actually the ones who have nothing & you'll be smiling when you watch them run because you put them forefront on your channel for all to see. This doesn't take thick skin, it takes self assurance. Interesting enough, I've myself been called negative & not a community person just because I always question things & don't hold to any sides & don't adhere to a worldview that doesn't allow for change or questions. Oh... btw... we grow the world's best & largest peanuts here in Virginia, hehehe... Happy Thanksgiving, even those y'all don't have our holiday, cuz being thankful is something that we should all be every day, regardless of the hurtful things which come to us. Peace--------
@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu4 күн бұрын
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences 🙂I also leave negative comments up but don't pin them like you, lol........funny you should mention growing peanuts because I was looking into that and I guess I can grow them in my short growing season but I'm sure they wouldn't be as grand as the one's from Virginia, lol. I'm going to be making some peanut brittle here soon 😁We do celebrate Thanksgiving here in October and I had a wonderful time visiting my daughters and grandson in Ontario for a couple of weeks. I was thankful then and thankful everyday. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving with the catabillies 💕 ~ Peace and God bless 🙏

Re. Q6. What irritates me most is that no comment or explanation is given when they put thumbs down. I mean how can one improve. I also made it a point that I will never ever give a thumbs down and wrote it on my channel description and this I wrote as soon as I started my channel. Like you said they do it to hurt your channel. Thank you always.❤❤❤❤❤
@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu4 күн бұрын
I agree. It's pretty hard to engage in a conversation about improvement when they say nothing. In this case I do think these are the types that spread negativity to bring you down or at least try. Try to consider the fact that even a thumbs down is giving attention to the algorithm in order to attract ones to your channel that do engage and give constructive criticism 🙂Thank you for sharing ❤and have a wonderful day.

I once had a comment about how rude a person I was 😢 and it hurt me deeply because although I have a raw sense of humour and I admit can swear a bit my intentions are never to be hurtful. On the same token if you don’t like me or my content you are not held hostage either. We can’t please all the people all the time but there’s never a reason or need to be cruel. As nana said if you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything at all ❤. Have an awesome night Krista

OK, I just paused the video. I recently experienced someone calling me out when I nailed my fingers together what I did I asked them questions and I drew them into a conversation explaining what really happened and by the end of four or five back-and-forth we were on an agreements. Also all the comments are helping me grow the channel. There’s many different ways to look at this but yes, you need to have tough skin if you’re putting yourself out there because there are, some very rude people I choose to drag them into a conversation if I can and work through it so far it has worked for me
@AlmostaGreenAcre-zs5eu5 күн бұрын
I'm glad you paused the video to share because you can most certainly grow as a person and grow your channel. All the comments help guide and shape our channels by offering constructive criticism, which shapes our content. Even rude people have the ability to change, however, I do not tolerate verbal abuse and that is exactly what some of them do.

I always get a one or two thumbs down 👎 comments and most times I disregard the comments but occasionally I go in attack mode on the trolls lol. From what I understand those comments actually do good for the channel because there is interaction and engagement and KZbin looks at engagement as a good things as it increases viewer ship. I agree with the points that we need to look at the comment and see if it's a positive criticism or some times questionable criticism because they are asking. I've asked questions and have thought about it being taken as negative comment so I usually say I'm asking because I don't know. I'm not political correct either for the peanut gallery and fell the same way as you do. Now I have done the thumbs 👍 up and heart ❤️ to a criticism or downright mean comment and will again lol. Trolls will be trolls , flush their verbal diarrhea and move on. Great video again my friend 👍 👍 👍

You're preaching to the choir on this subject. Even gardening and homesteading don't protect you from this bad behaviour. I did a video on growing corn and sunflower together and it got a thumbs down. I am trailing a new concept because I haven't seen anyone do this. it's paying off big time with 10 ft sunflower and most of my corn has double ears.
