I love Vanilla but not on me because it’s wayyy to sweet. That being said vanilla vibes is amazing! Very subtle vanilla peach she sent that just makes you smell good …. My signature scent

Vanilla Vibes is such an amazing scent (primarily for spring and summer). It’s not a gourmandy vanilla-it’s honestly reads a bit more creamy sandalwood to me. JHAG is not much on first smell… but I am so addicted to this line because it’s a slow burn kind of love. It’s not “eye catching” (nose catching?), explosive or dramatic-it’s the kind of every day love you NEED. This is not the kind of fragrance to experiment with your “fantasy self”-it’s for who you really are when you’re all alone and not trying to impress anybody.

I think the thing with a lot of these largely or solely aroma-chemical based fragrances is that the wearer will often be anosmic to it and yet you don't realize you are leaving a trail of fragrance around you that others will often compliment. I had the oddest experience with Sunny Side Up from this brand, I can't smell hardly anything on myself and yet all day I will get compliments from others about how good I smell... and every so often I will get a whiff of something sweet and lovely and realize I am smelling myself, but it is fleeting. I have a similar experience with the Eccentric Molecule fragrances.

Thank you so much for you input. ❤️ Admittedly too, I have a hard time with more subtle molecular scents because I'm surrounded by so many other (stronger projecting) fragrances and wear them on a daily basis - it can make these seem subpar, weak, or hard to understand. We are definitely being smelled by others. Anosmia to our own fragrance is a sad experience. 😅

I am glad to hear your review on the pear one. I almost got a full bottle during the Sephora sale but by the time I had made up my mind, it was sold out. I have a travel spray on the way. Do you know how the line was named?

Oh, no I don't! Please let us know if you know 🤗 I think a travel spray is a good move - I almost did that too until I saw the discovery set. I'm not a fan of discovery sets I'm realising because they just don't give enough of an impression to me unless they have a larger atomiser (so, like, travel sprays basically 🥴).

So Pear Inc travel spray arrived today. It's a very green pear. Clean and pleasant, but not the sweet juicy pear I was hoping for. I'll definitely use the travel spray though. 😉

I just tried a sample set last year. I’d never tried any before. I loved Not A Perfume. I needed up buying a full size of that one. I prefer it over the super dose. I layer it under my Narciso Rodriguez for her sometimes and I love that. I also like to wear it alone when I’m just chilling in the house, which has basically been my life the past year! I can still smell it on my clothes the following day. It has a good longevity. Your nose kind of gets used to it and you stop smelling it on yourself after a bit, but then I can pick it up again sometimes 12 hours later. I really want to try Pear Inc but we don’t have Sephora here in the U.K. and I bought from Juliette Has a Gun directly last year but now they’re charging 15 EUR shipping to the U.K. as a minimum and I won’t pay 20 EUR for a 1.7ml sample

Oh, Katie that price is just ridiculous! There is a tight-knit community of fragrance lovers in the UK specifically and they all exchange decants and samples among themselves, I think knowing how hard it can be to access certain perfumes at times. Narciso Rodriguez for her is such a pretty one! Do you find the not a perfume amplifies it or extends the longevity? Thanks Katie 🤗♥️

Thanks Charlotte. I’m in a few U.K. fragrance Facebook groups but no one has mentioned Pear Inc. I don’t think Not a Perfume extends the longevity of Narciso Rodriguez as such, but it adds a depth to it. I love layering Not a Perfume with others and that’s my most favourite combination that I’ve tried so far. I love both of these perfumes alone and together is really good combination too.

Those are both very different from each other, BUT, Vanilla Vibes is the one I prefer. If you're looking for a good layering perfume, maybe superdose is the best one to go for - if you're looking for an easy reach, super pleasant, well done beachy vanilla (as in, it's not necessarily unique - but it's one of the better ones out there)I don't think you can go wrong with Vanilla Vibes. I myself am planning on purchasing it for next summer, perhaps. Hope that helps - thank you for asking. ❤️🤗

I'm sad to hear you had problems with Pear Inc's longevity too. I never got into JHAG perfumes, but it was really interesting to hear your thoughts on it, seeing as I don't know much about JHAG as a whole. Imagining the purpose behind Pear Inc as a very lowkey subtle signature scent makes me feel bad about the negative-ish review I posted on Fragrantica. I might go rewrite it, actually.

The only JHAG fragrance I have is Lady Vengeance, and while testing the sample the longevity wasn't great but I loved the scent and got full bottle And now the interesting part, the longetivity gets better the more I wear it 🙄 you need to vibe with it, I guess

The only one of JHAG that I have a full bottle of is Miss Charming- and it's my fav for the hottest days in the summer. Its sweet but a cold rose and def good for hot humid summers

My first dip into JHAG was recently. I literally just bought a 5ml of Pear Inc. from Mercari and got it on Saturday. It is beautifully bright but after an hour it was gone on me. 😑I was going to blind buy a full bottle because I knew it would just be an “easy reach freshy”. I loved the notes. But something stopped me from doing that and said just get the 5ml. I’m so glad I didn’t buy a full bottle. I will use the 5ml to layer and as a bedtime scent but that will be it. I have to say Pear Inc kinda soured my interest in trying more JHAG fragrances. My easy reach freshy that I’m in love with is Wood by DSquared. On me it lasts for hours.
