Because a rectangle screen aspect ratio wouldn't work well on pear shape phone. And before you say just make a pear shaped screen, rectangle screen aspect ratios are the industry standard and are on everything such as TV's monitors, handhelds. So content is adjusted for these rectangle screens.

That's very very very hard to make and it wouldn't sell too well. Also youd have to make a new aspect ratio or video type to use it or you would not be able to see part of videos. It might be good as a camers and thats it really xd
