Sir, Wonderful to know about the pyrodwarf rootstock. Although I don't know how this will perform in my subtropical climate. My idea is that I want to graft Babugosha, Leconte and Kieffer pear to control the size. Mostly only the traditional Asian pears like Patharnakh and other round types are grafted on Kainth which is very strong but the pears grow huge on Kainth. I think this pyrodwarf rootstock has originated from the west where the climate is temperate where predominantly apples, European pears and other stone fruits are grown please. I want to raise pears around some 30 plants of lichi please. There are many other clonal rootstocks commonly used in European countries for different spacings to manage easily and resistance against certain diseases bacterial canker in particular please.
