This turned out to be a very good video . Most videos , I find , are a bit too professional , whereas with your indecision here and there , I could actually see myself in action ( if that makes any sense ) Thank you from Australia where my family and I have recently bought a 32 acre 1860s farm with lots of fruit trees , rose bushes, etc which have not been pruned for years so there is no time to be bored !!!!!!!!!!!! We are having great fun .

Pear trees have a very upright growth so I never try to use the goblet shape as with apples, plums and peaches but just thin crossing branches out and top them when they get too tall.

Should I cut all the branches which have fungus I can see a lot of fungus in your tree. Iv been told it’s pear rust and nothing can resolve it apart from cutting off the branches
