i was there- great gig but damn the sound sucked bad where i was- lower seating near the middle. mix was muddy and very little bass or kick drum getting to the back.

We found that especially for The Pixies. The vocals were way too high.

@@WeirdoWanderers i imagine on the floor right near the front would have been crazy good sound wise but these stadium gigs just dont have the equipment to punch bass out into such a big area off the floor. being a rock band having distorted guitars makes even harder to mix well- a clean band would sound much better in a big setting like this i reckon.

Ummm, it was a concert, not a studio album. It was extremely entertaining and sounded amazing. Maybe the wiggles is more your style.

@@lancegraham7722 yeah i am aware its not going to sound like the album at a stadium- however- i saw Matchbox 20 at RAC arena in Perth this year and it actually did sound amazingly like the albums.. i think putting a band in a 50k capacity stadium is going to always have a poor sound but i didnt think it would be that bad. It depends also on ones perception- some people prob think bad sound sounds good... im a muso and have played live for years and perhaps i am just more picky than most. where exactly where you?

@electricimagesaustralia6899 i was right in the middle down in GA, so having been right in the guts of it probably helped. Going up to get drinks, there was a notable difference, maybe due to being further away, but I still wouldn't call it bad. Maybe the open roof that night wasn't the best call.
