Such a sad story to read =(, but a well-written tragedy nonetheless. :) It's proof that life can be unpredictable, and unfortunately those moments can include the loss of someone very special and dear to so many people. Can't fathom the emotions Ash felt when he realized the truth about Dawn, but it's good to see his friends be there for him. =') Dawn could only want what's best for everyone, and that's to continue living their lives happily instead of remaining depressed all the time. =D

yeah. ash must have been devestated by dawns death. i cant blame him. if i had a girlfriend who i really loved died i would be crying for weeks. but maybe it would have been better if before dawn died they had a child together. ( ash accidentally gets dawn pregnant and they are still in high school ) ash: your... your.. pregnant? dawn: yeah... i know. i cant believe it either. ash: oh my god... i think the condom broke. dawn: are... are you mad? ash: ( sigh ) dawn under different circumstances i would be happy that you were pregnant with our child but... we're in high school, we cant have a baby now. my mom would kill me if she found out i became a father at 15. dawn: well my family has a long line of teen parents. my mom wouldnt care as much. she could help us raise the baby. ash: dawn we cant rely on your mom for everything. if we have a baby then WE will have to take care of it. dawn: i just meant she could help us until we get jobs. then we could raise the baby as best as we can. ash: ... i bet i know what my mom would say to that: dawn, your going to need to have an abortion or give it up for adoption. dawn:... well im definitely not getting an abortion but i would only give it for adoption if we had to. if she doesn't like it, she can talk to my mom. ( after dawn gives birth they find out its a girl ) dawn: oh ash look. look at our beautiful baby girl. ash: hi there cuttie. im your dad. welcome to the family. ( may, drew, berry and misty come in ) may: ( gasp ) oh my god she is so cute!!! misty: so adorable! drew: what are you guys going to name her? ( ash and dawn look at each other ) ash and dawn: june. ( its one year later and dawn dies ) ash: ( crying ) nooo!!! dawn come back!!! i cant do this without you. ( drew comes by ash,s house ) drew: hey man. ash: ( sniff ) ( sadly ) hey. drew: listen... i went by dawns house and i.. i picked up some things that i thought she would want you to have. ( drew pulls out a box and sets it on ash,s bed ) drew: go on. open it. ( ash opens the box. the box had dawn,s favorite posesions in it. her beanie, a picture of her and ash together, a written letter to june for the future and a video camera filled with funny moments that ash and dawn had together ) ash: thanks man. ( 15 years later ) june: so you and mom had me in high school? ash: yes. honey i was young and stupid when we had you. i dont want you to make the same mistakes i did. june: oh so my birth was a mistake? ash: no, no june you were anything but a mistake. if we had waited to have you, you wouldnt exist. your birth may have been an accident but not a mistake. your mother would agree with me. june: oh yeah. right. mom. if you loved mom so much than why isnt there any pictures of her? why didnt she leave anything for me? i dont even know what she looks like. i feel like she left me with nothing but a name. ash: june listen i understand that your mad at your mother but its not like after you were born she just dumped you on me and said " here this is your baby " and left. she died. my father was alive and he abandoned me. theres a huge difference. june: but that still doesn't change the fact that i grew up without a mother to go shopping with, or get my nails done or other things moms do with their daughters. when people ask me what my mom looks like i just pull out a picture of may. ash: ( sigh ) come with me. theres something i should have shown you a long time ago. ( ash leads june to the basement and takes out a box. he goes down the stairs and sets the box in junes room ) ash: you wanted to have something from your mother? here you go. (june opens the box and pulls out the contents. ash had put more of dawns stuff in it like dawns favorite neckless, her ribbons, her favorite dress along with the original things drew put it ) june: whats this? ( opens the letter ) " june. you have been a blessing. its true that you were made by accident but you were definitely not a mistake. when i found out i was pregnant i was scared. we had no business having kids at our age. when you were born we thought you were the most beautiful thing in the world. the couple that were afraid of having kids now couldnt imagine life without their daughter. you are the light of my life, my precious girl, my little june bug. love your mom, dawn berlets. " ( june starts to cry ) ash: our story may not have had a happy ending, but it doesn't make you who you are. its the rest of your story. when your mother died i was seriously considering suicide. the only thing that stopped me was you. june: ( sniff ) thanks dad. ash: all of her things belong to you now. ( june looks at her mother's beanie ) june: ( hugs it ) thanks mom.
