This song was great when it first came out and it's great now. Cocteau Twins will always have a special place in my heart and I believe history will remember them well for their unique creativity.

Imagine a decade, when music like this was more or less average.

The 12" Version is way better than the 7" one.

This was Number 2 on John Peel's Festive Fifty for 1984 - number 1 was the Smiths.

Love this track but I haven't got a scooby about the lyrics! It's almost like she's speaking in tongues!

I Love, Love - This extended version...!!! I've been listening to the Cocteau Twins since the early 80's and I instantly, became a junkie for it: Imprinted by their Flock of Soul. I'm 100% confident that their music will pass-on to many generations, yet to come. No matter how much time passes, their music is absolutely timeless, even right now I have goosebumps, as I write this message and hear each, feverish pitch; break, drop, rise, float-(boat), and fall of Liz's quivering voice, conveys her desperate emotion...!!! Robin's steel strings; tighten, fray, echo, bounce, and reverberate with each finger slide and precious pluck, intentionally holding the innermost stoic delivery, as his focus blends with Simon's keystrokes, along his emboldened, riffs glide back-and-forth. So that, if one might imagine, a Gallant Scottish Armada of Iridescent Paper Airplanes - kite along too dive, shift, swell, fall, and drift endlessly over ocean waves breaking from the flagstones against whitewashed, sugar hiccups ending by overflowing onto the mossy-green banks of Castle Eperdu, in the last twinkling rays of a Midsummer sunset that sinks into an Atlantic nest of endless dreams. She asks me, why do they wax and wane over round, plain tigers bellowing sails turn to unfurl suchlike lyrical messages? A wise woman once said to me, while I sat in a maelstrom of intrigued dismay, she quietly starred in the same direction, as myself, and said, "If you don't hear 'it' when you're listening to 'it' - then, you never will...!!!" so, please just listen...!!! For her, there's nothing unusual: even, tishbite when people called you names; they all know it's wrong to make fun of "me"; so, no more crying behind the stage, and even though she is addicted to a descriptive disorder; she should still play --- Aliveness, Wellness, and Fulfillness. Liz, absolutely, hates it when anybody complement herself, but she's best known, as --- "The Voice of God": Plus, she has said, "... I Remember, 'My Secret', I Write 'it' Down, and Then I Tell 'it'... 'it's for, Me ...." She knows deep inside, "...God is graceful, and He's playful..." I tip my hat and would pray that you three, fast friends and fearless, would honor us mortals with just one more concert. Oh...!!! If you're a "dedicated" and "true" fan; then, you'll get the pearly dewdrops I dripped.

Saw CT many years ago at Liverpool DMH. Have been enthralled ever since. Liz's voice is other worldly
