@@GreatApesZoo oh that’s GREAT thank you so much, I will do that for sure!!!!
Is this what they do all day , just walk around that enclosure? They can’t go outside are there trees and other thing for them to climb and what kinds of food do they eat and where’s the water supply for them to drink from? They look so awful !! Poor animals 😢

This is just damn sad! Does the zoo need financial assistance to create a better environment?? I would make a donation if that were the case...

How, in this day and age can a zoo like this be permitted to have animals. WWF and other recue organisations, where are you????
Why would they keep these chimpanzees together if they don’t get along and fight, you can see how stressed they are, they are walking back and forth all the time. They seem in poor condition as well. 😞

Why are these chimps in such tensed conditions? Their very dirty and cement&steel cage is too heavily scrutinized all around by curious visitors. No wonder it activates highly strung n stressed chimps. Just curious ... are they being punished as a rowdy troop and locked up together? Or is this their natural habitat? This is quite worrying. If they are in a zoo, their welfare shld be well taken care of. Not to be placed in a 'fight club' environment waiting for bad things to happen. Is the zoo looking into any solutions to improve please?

Chimps always fight. They're naturally aggressive towards each other and operate on the alpha mentality system.
@roxannamccarthy45763 жыл бұрын
Isn't there a pill or something they can give those chimps so that they're not mean and aggressive. And also do the staff members there clean their wounds cuz I seen a couple of really good gouges I mean they probably need stitches or how do they keep those things from getting infected

The jungle gym is quite creative. But that is all there is and the square footage is quite low and there are a lot of animals. And the food is just in a tray. There is no mental stimulation to find it.

Were these wounds caused by other chimpanzees in the other group, or was it from this group? It must have been some fight, the youngest one had alot.

BapBaby 4Life I would like to know as well. It’s sad
TAMA zoo in Japan has a large very large outdoor play area where their chimps can be outside , climb and get fresh air Very sad condition these chimps are caged up no wonder they Are aggressive
Someone need to intervene in this situation. if they not go take care of these animals correctly then why keep them in captivity like this. do somebody have their Email address. there need to be a complaint filed against this zoo in this matter. This is inhumane. this is Not a natural habitat for this Chimpazees. these poor animals are suffering
Maybe they are dangerous and in happy because they are locked in that time concrete jail!! They need much more space, space that’s more like the actual forest.

I must say that this is much like watching a human prison pod. Everyone is on edge constantly. Is the hair loss due to self depilation, or alopecia? A great ape behavioral psychologist would not like this video. No simulation of their natural environment with grass, trees(even simulated ones to climb), or in lieu of that more poles for them to climb. More opportunities for brachiation provided by ropes ect. These people are so bored that they break the boredom with violence.
@Jonathan_O3 жыл бұрын
My thoughts exactly.
@lindalumae2 жыл бұрын
I agree. This is my first time seeing them and it is concerning. If you are going to show these things you should provide more information, at least. They are in terrible condition. The hair loss is really concerning as is the boring, cold enclosure. If we assume responsibility of wild animals, then everything that happens to them is our responsibility. Unless there is something I’m missing, this is deplorable and difficult to watch.
If I was a kid I wouldn’t want to go on a field trip there. As an adult I would be ashamed of my city/ state having animals who are clearly unhappy and unhealthy on display.

Why are both groups housed together. If one group is dangerous and the other group is not, it seems cruel to house them together. A miserable life for them. Very sad indeed. Please separate the groups! They have no escape.
I like to make a comment differently than the one I made earlier. This is not to say I'm happy with what I see either however there are many many issues involved. No institution and I say that to say an institution like persons mental facilities etc can solve all problems at one immediate time. There's first a very large financial outlet but there's also the idea of what happens with these animals when they become older they become frustrated they need much more care and as we see with gorillas in the wild they go off and join groups of males only non-sexual male groups because they're not in a female groups. How do you become one of many is to fight till you become the leader of a group and that's not able to happen and artificial groups that humans try to put together. So I can't say it's good but there are many issues involved and the best thing to do is just to be aware of what's happening to agree with what's good and what's not good and to advocate and support and sometimes raise money for or whatever. So I just want to say that we don't always know how to solve the problem by looking at the animals through a cage are on a KZbin video.
They dump the food on the hard floor where they urinate, this is dispicable

THAT ZOO SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!! Unless collecting money to watch live animal abuse is normal? THOSE CHIMP LIVE IN HORRENDOUS CONDITIONS. The chimps (along with most other animals at this "zoo") look like something out of a horror movie. Staff should have pulled the baby out there long before he was killed. The poor animals they have locked up there might as well be in a lab somewhere.
