So nice to see/hear a demo of this amp with guitars from both sides of the spectrum.

John Fields im confused as to why you would be searching for country tones out of a high gain amp
@johnfields74484 жыл бұрын
@@lbonvillain-wm4ds I designed this amp and although it does have alot of gain on tap, it was not meant to define the tones that you can get by utilizing the Tight switch and clean channel. Also remember that there's a 1/5/10W power level selector that introduces the type of power amp clipping that's not so conducive to metal. It's important that the voicings can accommodate this in a different way than the 120W version. The gate has also been relaxed at it's ON setting so that it won't chop off decaying notes with lower output pickups since there's no room for a threshold control.

Indeed. It's rare that an amp can play blues licks with a reliced guitar. I guess the relic process adds enough mojo to conjure those unique and varied lead lines🤣

Excellent video! I too, have a invective MH. 1st thing I did was check out clean channel and I was immediately blown away. Lets face it..... Nobody ever bought a 5150, 6505, 6534, for it's clean tones. The invective line up changes that. I play a 28-5/8" scale 6 string baritone at drop A, Drop B or Drop C with EMG 57 in bridge position and my pre-gain is only halfway up, for my extreme metal tones. The neck pickup is the EMG SA and the ambient tones are amazing. Only gripe is noise gate isn't that great on MH using Lead channel. A electro-harmoinx Silencer pedal fixed that. Thanks for making a great demonstration video! I highly recommend this amp for a wide variety of applications. 🙂

Thank you for this review, I love my down tuned chugging, but also hold clean tone in high regard too. This has helped me make a decision.

Love this review man. I've really liked the high gain tones I've heard from this amp but it's reassuring to hear it do some great clean and old school crunch tones too.

Great video man! Thank you for testing out multiple sounds with this, so many people just play metal (I know its a metal amp) but I also wanted to see it for just hard rock and cleans. Thanks!!!

Best demo I heard for this amp! Straight to the point with different guitars, good job! I play mostly punkrock, metal and post-hardcore, but it's refreshing to hear a demo that doesn't just focus on...that haha I'm about to buy the big brother, can't wait to play with it!!

Yeah, or they use simulated output with IR's instead of real mic'd cabs.

Good video showcasing the amp with different guitars. A bit disappointing that you didn’t show the difference the Tight and Boost switches make to the tone though. Maybe in another video?

Hey, this demo is amazing and your playing is super enjoyable to listen to. This is really a special demo, showing off the tamer and flexible side of this amp. I have a question though. What did you change from 1:07 to 2:38 ? Are you just picking more softly?

I have a Peavy guitar an on the front that I have no idea of the model. It uses a 9V battery and has a small switch near the volume and tone control knobs. It was purchased in 2009. It has dual humbucker style pick ups. Can you please help me know what I have? Oh ya it is a very heavy guitar.
