I'm glad you took the time to make this video 11 years ago. I'm new to playing electric and I just picked up a used VK112. Your video helped me learn how to use it.

I use this amp with my Boss 25 pedal al of the time and love it. This amp also has plenty of bottom end (bass) without losing the brilliance of mid and treble tones.
@geezerguitarsite12 жыл бұрын
I love it as it will get as dirty as you want or you cane let the tone come through. Lots of guts at any of the settings also.

Really good review of the product,wish your audio was more accurate. Listened to one of these in person and was impressed for something so small in size. Good smaller alternative to the 6505 etc.

Hey Geezer, thanks for the Demo! I am buying a new amp &I Need one with a good Tube sound without having to live on oatmeal & dry toast for two months just so I can afford it! After graduating from the cheap amps in the early 80's and finally being able to afford a Peavey Jazz amp, I too became a Peavey fan! I have had many amp brands in 30+ years & am looking forward to a owning a ValveKing. I only play at home now but thanks to your demo, I think I have made up my mind! Peavey it is...again!

I've not played one of those in a deacde or so so can;t say for sure. I find it hard to believe though that anything in this size will have more punch or clarity. I got hollared at this morning already for making things on the other end of the house move around on the shelf with the Peavey and my hopped up Les Paul kit build

I once tried one of these in a music store and it’s definitely not a Peavey 5150 or Marshall. Is this amp based on a Fender Twin?

I use my Boss ME 25 with the ValveKing and it works great. The Valveking has gobs of bass if you want it. In the normal clean channel with everything set around 50% my custom Les Paul shakes the house when you get down towards the nut. It is amazing at what they are gettingf out of these speakers!

this review rocks man !!! my favorite part right here 4:00 the feedback. its got power hahah!
@sixstringfretter11 жыл бұрын
Very good review. One thing though. The stand-by switch on a valve amp should not be thought of as a "beer" switch only. It is there to warm up the tubes before the power section applies power to them. It's very important to warm up your tubes before playing. Usually 30 to 60 seconds will do. Otherwise you will get what's known as electron stripping. This will shorten the life and they wiill not perform well, making the amp sound hollow and tinny. Just a friendly reminder.

To bad your review did not mention that the valveking is actually a unreliable and crap sounding amp. The cheapest parts where used and the reverb sucks beyond reasons.
