I believe it was a P Nyuj Y that ate the great grandfather and the chickens. That was sad and scary too. Good thing one survived to tell the tale. Also I want to add maybe bc there were two boys, the p nyuj y can only use his magic on Ntoos. It was also his fate via the dream. I seriously thought the great grandpa was going to turn into a vampire or die bc of old age and became a zombie that still grind his teeths lol the ending was a twist.
