This remix of this song samples: "Papa Don't Take No Mess" by James Brown (1974) There's one thing that baffles me with this tune: James Brown's "Papa Don't Take No Mess" "which is not on the Who Sampled website for the track. Can someone help?

There was another smoother version of this song (without the rap) that was only being played on Quiet Storm radio at the time. I purchased the vinyl maxi single thinking it was there but it wasn't so I figured it was probably a promo version released only to certain radio stations. Does anyone else remember the version I'm referring to? Can someone post it? It's been eluding me for years!!!
