XDD Honestly, I even really like that he took the time to explain that the listener was the crush he was talking about, because my brain would find a way to be like "just because you kissed doesn't mean he likes you; here's a list of 50 reasons why". as a person with quite heavy anxiety, if I would be dragged by a friend to a crowded college party, I would tail that friend and the second I lost sight of them I would not be seen until the next day... I would have just gotten too stressed out, and peaced-out and found my way back home. A good way to get an introvert to notice you would be just choosing to hang out nearby when they are doing some sort of hobby... though idk if it would work as my social anxiety is so bad it makes me blind and deaf to social ques

This is sweet. As someone who struggles with it, I have to say social anxiety can be really crippling. I got insanely lucky to make a few friends in college --- it was certainly no thanks to me. I had such a hard time opening up and taking any kind of initiative, but they apparently saw something in me and kept inviting me to stuff and trying to include me to the point that I eventually just got used to them and they became my friends. They used to say even though I didn't talk much, occasionally the funniest or sassiest things would come out of my mouth and they liked that. I'm grateful to this day that they didn't give up on me. It meant everything. A lot of people don't want to put up with that, or they think the anxious person is just uninterested and so they stop trying. Not that I blame them. It's no one else's job to fix my problems. But nonetheless, it felt nice meeting some people who showed me love even when I didn't feel lovable.
