Pebeo Paint & Liquid Polymer Clay can Mix Together? A Cool New Polymer Clay Technique

In this tutorial I'll show you a fun technique involving liquid clay and pebeo paints. Specifically mixing the two together to create a memorizing bloom effect.
Keep in mind that the pebeo paints will let off fumes when baked. Your oven should be in a well ventilated area when baking the liquid clay veneer.

This was a really interesting and different process. Thank you Samantha. Kato clay is almost impossible to find in the UK now it has been discontinued. Anyone here looking for some may still be able to find what they want at Perles & Co on line.

I’m wondering if you were to thin sculpey liquid clay with clay softener, do you think your technique would work Samantha? I love the idea of using the Prisme Pebeo Paint with my clay. I’ve already got some sheets dried so that I can try out some of your previous techniques.

I saw someone make a veneer/ skin out of the pebeo paint to use on polymer clay a year or so ago and immediately went and purchased a couple sets, moon, fantasy, etc. I have yet to use them, but I am now inspired, thank you! Did you not use a clay adhesive with the cured liquid clay to the raw clay because you knew you'd be using resin?

Even though the liquid clay was cured before you put it on the raw clay, do you not need to put liquid clay in between? Or does it not matter bc you put resin on top?

It didn't matter because of the resin on top, but if you're not placing the resin on top then yes, I'd recommend adding more liquid clay to bond the two.

I did a look around and couldn't find anything other than one facebook post about it. Where did you hear about it? It would be quite sad if it was discontinued.

@@JessamaTutorials I buy most of my clay from a UK site called clayaround. They used to sell Kato, but their "all the clays" page says it's no longer being manufactured. Pity: I found their main clays a bit hard for my purposes, but their liquid clays were great.
