i wish i could not afford one lol in uk that is id prob have to make one lol nice bike thou looking cool i think maybe the elf would have more power but i guess there about the same
@jdrum30533 жыл бұрын
sorry for the late response, Elf’s have the same amount of power in their motors 750 watts. Of course some states are allowing 1000 watts just check yours. You could pick up a used Elf for 3-5 grand depending on what you get. There is a guy who still sells accessories for them as some are still in circulation in the market. I’ll be doing more videos after Christmas.

Yes it is, tho hail I would find shelter,if your walker is collapsed it will fit behind the seat. I sold mine and moved to the city and don’t live in the suburbs anymore. Dumb drivers and bad traffic, joggers wearing earbuds are the worst 🤣🤪💩😡 easier to get around by bus in the city.

if i had the money i would get one. but as it stands, i am making a delta style recumbent and with a 1000watt 48volt motor i have only 800 bucks in it (SLA batteries). i am simply having issues with trying to buy a shell for it..so i have been practicing with acrylic and a heat gun and doing what is termed "drop forming"-basically put the plastic at the high point and heat where it needs to bend in order to lay on the shell frame. seems like customers of the ELF are upper middle class people..i wonder how strong the market would be for what i have built...800 dollars in material and 6 man-hours to assemble...shell not included. basically, a body free ELF .

Hi. IAM from morocco and i want to have one. But u know.i must make one.can you help me to make one pls.
@bobamericana30995 жыл бұрын
@@AhmedAhmed-vo5ou real simple ....buy an adult tricycle that is bolted together in front of the rear axle..do not join the front and back...you want the back assembly ...then come up with a sub frame of your own making that mounts to the rear axle assembly mounting points..i also used the cargo basket mounting points in my sub frame assembly. next-determine how long your back bone frame spear needs to be.. sit down on the floor and measure from your lower back to the bottom of your feet..then add 12 inches to the measurement.. then add the distance behind the seat you are using-when it is 6 inches in front of the rear axle...in my case it was a little over 24 inches behind my seat to the back point of the sub-frame assembly... so the main beam on my trike is 7 feet long..tip to tip.... now is the hard art...you have to drill a hole through your main frame beam .. cut the fork tube off of the front of the trike sub assembly that you have not used to this point...i used a simple grinder for this... measure its outside diameter...that will be how big your hole will need to be in the frame beam...also- i used 3 inch by 3 inche square tubing for my main beam..hollow-so i had to drill it 2 times...offset the holes enough to give your fork tube about 5 degrees off plumb..give the front fork a little bit of trail so that it will track on the road with ease... then you will need a 2nd fork tube assembly from a parts bike to repeat this step back by your seat..the 2nd one will have your handle bars...then all you need to do is make a drag link of sorts to tie the two fork assemblies together. the final step will be installing the crank/pedals assembly...again i cut this from a donor bike and simply mounted it on the bottome side of the main beam...i sat in the chair and marked where to put it based on my leg length.. the drive chain was a bit of an issue..it is sooo long that i decided to use 2 instead of one....i took a mountain bike rear wheel with 6 speeds on it..cut away all the spokes /rim/tire and it left me with a transfer case of sorts.....the chain from my pedal goes to it and uses the smallest gear..then the next smallest gear is chained to the rear axle gear.... just make sure that all the componets use the same size chain...in my case- a standard chain for 6-8 speed bikes... here is a link to a trike plan that you can buy...it is what i used for a basic idea on how to build mine.... i bought an adult trike off amazon and simply used the rear 1/2 of it to save myself time and money.... 1st link- plans 2nd link example bike--look at hout the front and back are bolted together..that is what you are looking for plans www.atomiczombie.com/loderunner-utility-trike-diy-plan/ example trike...bonus-comes with all the rims,tires,etc. that your build will require..you still need a 2nd bike for some additional parts.. www.amazon.com/dp/B07MT89YBH/?coliid=I1GYE0ZO5DKOD1&colid=2N4HBIM6X7Q2U&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it this is just to give you a ballpark idea of how to build one...best of luck to you

Is it possible to put a small honda generator in the back to charge the batteries on a long trip?
@NoobixCube3 жыл бұрын
You’d have to do the math on whether it’s worth carrying. Every gram of weight requires energy to move. The weight of the generator and fuel would require more force from your legs and more force from the motor, costing you more from your batteries to run at the same speeds. You may actually find the extra weight has too small a gain, or even a net negative to your battery life. I’d say, if you’re interested in long-haul trips, like interstate trips, get the solar panel extra, and hook up a trailer with more solar panels and batteries. I don’t know if it’s legal in the US, but you might be able to add some power assist to the trailer, too. Sure, pulling the trailer costs energy, but at least that scales better than a generator, and will never strand you without fuel as long as the sun is out.

better.bike
@patriciaspates84185 жыл бұрын
Hi? I was wondering what kind of bike is this ?
@animistchannel29835 жыл бұрын
It is called "PEBL" The website for the company is "better.bike" Another channel that has a lot of owner videos is Eric Fischnaller with his series "The Great PEBL adventure" The PEBL weighs around 200 pounds and costs between $9,000 to $13,000 depending on how many extras and options you get. The bike style frame inside is often called a "tadpole trike" because it has 2 wheels up front and 1 in back, so wide-head skinny-tail like a tadpole. Right now, there isn't anyone else making & selling the same kind of vehicle because the other company , the Organic Transit ELF (which also has videos on KZbin) has gone bankrupt. I hope that helps you get started looking at the details.

It is called a Pebl, an enclosed electric asssist 3-wheeled recumbant bike.

special note: that bike is too big for a regular size sidewalk, if there is no bike lane typically all bikes, whatever kind of bikes, must always remain to the right at all times... it would be fair to ride on the road... automobiles do not own the road, bikes have been here longer.

One of the biggest reasons why I won't get a PEBL or ELF, as cool of concepts as they are. They're 4 feet wide. Most US bike lanes are only 3 feet wide.
@jdrum3053 Жыл бұрын
That is true, in the metro area it was too wide, so I got my AddMotor instead. You can check out that video. In the suburbs it was nice having wider trails to ride on along side the roads. Tho in heavy deep snow it was a problem, I did sell it and move to the metro area, more intercity transportation, buses and cabs to get places my bike couldn’t. Thanks for the comment!
@gregyovetich84215 жыл бұрын
Not sure where you live, but the way you're riding is illegal. My state (MD), and most states that I'm aware of, bicycles must follow all traffic laws, the same as cars. Riding a bicycle through a pedestrian crosswalk is illegal, you must walk a bicycle through a crosswalk. Riding on a sidewalk is illegal. I can definitely see wanting to ride on an empty sidewalk vs a busy street, but it's still illegal. To be fair, that guy had every right to call you a *******. I might do the same as you and take the sidewalk if it's not very populated, but just know that it likely is illegal.
@jdrum30535 жыл бұрын
Greg Yovetich Well.................. if you didn’t know, the 8 foot paths are multiuse paths. In my city they are considered bicycle trails. so yes it is legal. I have done my research. Cycling on multiuse paths is decided by the local city. Not everyone is the same.

@@jdrum3053 Ahh ok, that's good then. My mistake.
@jdrum30535 жыл бұрын
Greg Yovetich No worries, yes in the state of Iowa it is illegal to ride on the sidewalk, say a small town with sidewalks that is like a township under county authorities places like that. Other areas designate where bikes can snd can’t ride. My town we have an uptown and village shopping centers where you’re not supposed to ride bikes by the shops. The police never enforce it. Which makes me mad 😡

Brian Foster I’ve been fine on the wider paths, room for other bikes and peds, if I have to I ride just yo the edge and still plenty of room for another cyclist.

Always true for anyone at all times regardless of your mode of transportation. Many cities allow bikes on sidewalks. His roads did not have bike lanes. Upvoting your own comment is lame.
