Thanks for sharing...I'm a meat eater and I'm reducing my intake and increasing more plant-based/whole-food items. I have to try this! I've had walnut meat, which was delicious. I'm amazed at the nonmeat choices.

I made pecan chili for my carrot dogs and they came out delicious. I got the recipe from another KZbin video. I put homemade slaw on top, and it also made it very delicious.

I cannot go back to being vegetarian, I ended up very sick and hospitalized doing that in the past, but I like alternatives as we can't always get grass fed/pastured meat. My oldest child is expressing interest in going vegetarian, so I would like to give her the ability to do so as well. This is great. We will try this one.

This looks great, I am very excited to try this for tacos and chili. Thank you so much for sharing. I've been doing alot of soul searching lately and I'm ready to go vegetarian, or at least cut off all support of factory farming. I live in the country so i may still get some local beef that I know was raised with dignity and had a wonderful life in pasture before slaughter...it's just VERY expensive. ❤ so I'm thinking stuff like this will satisfy my desire for the classic meals when I don't have the means to pay more for humanely raised meats.

Nice, to the point, vid.👏🏼 I am looking forward to trying this and am praying I LOVE it. Just like others have said I’m actively incorporating more plant based items into my diet. I’m looking forward to tacos and zucchini spaghetti with pecans as my meat.🤤 Thank you for sharing. May you and yours be continuously blessed.🙏🏼

Oh. My. Goodness!!!! I cannot believe how delicious pecan meat is!!! I made it to use in tacos. They were beyond good. I had enough “meat” left over and wondered how it would work with spaghetti. There’s no need to wonder anymore…. It’s fantastic!!! I am so happy I tried this. I can still enjoy my meaty hamburgers, for now, but I can reduce my beef intake by using pecan meat for tacos and spaghetti!!!!!🙌🏼🥳🤤

Have you tried walnuts instead of pecans? They have a not so sweet but meatier flavor than pecans.

Yes! I don’t mind either, though I slightly prefer pecans for their softer texture.

The total sodium in this would give me a stroke. Onion salt, sea salt, aminos, worcestershire, liquid smoke, all are high in sodium. I think I will try this, but substitute taco seasoning. Thank you. Great video. 👍

It is full of SODIUM, great idea but what about us who are dealing with high blood pressure?
@theself-careshoppellc3 Жыл бұрын
Not raw pecans, which are used here. Also, use common sense and critical thinking in deciding whether YOU, specifically, should cook/eat anything you’ve seen in any video and/or simply modify the recipe as you deem fit. Common sense and basic adulthood. Finally, sodium is an essential mineral needed in our diet. You might consult a holistic health doctor about the TRUE causes of high blood pressure (which may or may not be high sodium in your case)

Then don’t use salt or as much salt next time. You obviously used too much for your liking. I didn’t offer ingredient measurements, so you are in control of your own cooking. Hence why this dish is not at all salty for so many of us.
