Pecos Bill's BBQ - Glendale, CA - MY COMPLETE VISIT

In this episode I visit Pecos Bill's BBQ in Glendale(on the edge of Glendale and Burbank) which at 70+ years old, it's one of Los Angeles' oldest BBQ joints. I have been going here since I was a child(and my parents decades before that) so it's one of my BBQ happy places. It's got a savory sauce that once you fall in love with, you crave. I recommend getting their house made hot sauce to add to your meal.

I’ve been a customer since I was a kid and I’m 73. I love eating at the park too. I miss the pastrami’s at Zups too. We lived across the street on Garden and Sonora. Walked from there to Hoover every morning. Thanks for the video.

We grew up in Burbank. Pecos Bill's is an institution. The BEST pulled pork we have ever eaten. We miss going there. We now lives in Central California, but will visit Pecos Bill's the next time we are in Burbank.

Nick, unfortunately, Jerry, the co-owner, died of a heart attack last November. I've driven by a number of times and it looks like it is closed for good. Truly sad.

I have gone to Pecos Bill's since the early 1970's when I worked at Lockheed in Burbank. Our whole Department would go and pick up sandwiches from them for our lunches. The BBQ Beef and Sauce is excellent. I now live in Murrieta and wish they had a store here. I miss their BBQ Beef Sandwiches and another spot I miss is Santoro's Submarine sandwiches.

I love pecos I’m 42 and been going my whole life and always eat in the park. The sauce is the best and I have never been lucky enough to try this unicorn of a rib I’ve only heard about them. It’s 40 minutes from my house but worth it.

I think I have the Turkey or the Ham or maybe both and I wasnt a fan but the Beef and Pork are like nothing I have ever tasted

You forgot to mention that Jerry & Staff are a great part of the experience!! Watching Jerry chop & slice is amazingly rhythmic & fun to watch! Seriously! They are so much fun there besides being delicious, so the line around the block is worth the wait!! I've met amazing people in that line at lunch too! Such a great place A long time locals' FAVORITE!

just found out about Jerrys passing and the closing of Pecos Bill. I am wondering if anybody remembers Pecos Bill having like a little trailer he would setup he would setup somewhere in Burbank (I think)? or was the 60"s ruffer than i thought! lol

Kevin it was in Glendale not Burbank. It has since closed. So sad.

RIP PECOS BILLS ! IT SEEMS BETTE DAVIS PARK has been the unofficial dining room for DECADES. I pass by every week or 2 and it seems this time they are gone for good!!. 3rd generation oakie beef customer, I am in a pecos depression and remember them as well as zups and of course AERO DELI MARKET, ALL NEXT TO EACH OTHER !!!! WHAT A TIME!!! EVERY TIME I DRIVE DOWN VICTORY and western i get sad for all the cool stuff that is gone there.

Has I was passing by couple days ago, and there was a note in front of Pecos Bill's. I am sadden to write this on 11/4/22 Jerry has gone to a better life. May he rest in peace! Pecos Bill's is permanently closed.

So sad. Ill never have another messy sandwich again. My dad would take my sibs and I to Pecos Bills on his weekends with us kids. We'd hit the zoo, get some sandwiches and go eat at the park. Just like everyone else.....
