Slab Crappie on the Pearl River

I took my friend and subscriber Jimmy Sullivan to the Pearl River below lower head dam to catch some big crappie. Took us a little bit to find fish but lucky for us we stopped off at MUFUS bait and tackle and got us a bunch of minners (minnows for my northern friends) and that is what they prevlferred. We had a good time and tested out some new plusinno rod holders.

Yes they are a draw hunt in August. $200 a tag and strict rules on hunting. Have to catch on rod and reel and secure it before dispatch with bang stick

You should check out out doors with Archie Philips an old fellar that filmed in the 70s and 80s in Alabama. He’s passed on but has great shows from fishing hunting he covers it all and his vids are truly great. Think you would like and maybe learn a few thing from an elder. Be safe hoss.
