Man, I like how your new camp turned out. It looks really good. I feel your pain on the red tarp. When you have something that is really good at its intended purpose, like that big truckers' tarp, and you own it, it's hard to resist the urge to "make it work", when you know it's just too big of a tool for the job. I know it tore part of you up to take her down, but the tarp that's up sure looks like it's up for the job... I got plum tickled, completely out of left field, watchin you hammer in your tie-off posts and wrapping the rope to the post in sped-up motion... It reminded me of the old silent movies where everything is sped up and just watchin somebody walk around is somehow funny!... I like that hammock, especially the bug net. And that duffle bag holds a ton of stuff! ... Anyways, Happy New Years!

That hammock is very nice with the bug netting built into it! Just how long will it last would be my question? It is not bad for the price. I'm from S. E. Louisiana, and the mosquitoes here will are terrible blood suckers! If you haven't got some type of netting around you, I promise, you will need a transfusion on blood when you awake, if you awake!(LOL). I think you know what I mean? I very much enjoy your videos, you tell it like it is, and you are very informative. Be Safe, and God Bless you, and the family!

I ain't walking in to camp, either, but I like a bag. I've got one packed in the truck. Right now it has cold weather gear in it. In the spring I'll change to warm weather gear.

Hey Justin! Your original vision for this site is still sound. Having a place to set up, evaluate, and make changes to equipment & techniques is a nice option to have... before taking them to the field! The green leanto looks like it will be a far more efficient set up than the red one... at least until it too is replaced in turn with a even more efficient Tipi! There are plenty of patterns available for them, and I must confess that I am looking forward to seeing you construct one and setting it up! Dad got a lot of use from his hammock, when he was in the Navy in WWII. The one you tried out looked comfortable enough. Just be sure to insulate below you as well as above with a blanket or two and you should be okay if the temp drops. (A good fire nearby helps a lot too!) Eventually, you will hit the right balance between making a living, projects that need to be done, & doing what you want to do. Keep at it & it will happen! It's a New Year and New Opportunities come with it! Take Care!

Happy New Year brother. I understand your position on more fishing and camping. I'm hoping to do the same. I don't have a boat but bank fishing is okay with me. I enjoy your down to earth videos, especially your Bible studies. I hope my health allows me to resume video messages in 2024. Here’s to the simple life of being a country boy. God bless you and your family in the coming year.
