Enjoyed watching your post. I was born in 1952 and had a doll for Christmas, when I was 5 or 6 and I still have it today; I was hoping to see one like it.

Although I was not born yet in 1966, there are some lovely Dolls and Plush Animals in this Catalog:)!! As for the Sindy Doll, I have a Sindy Doll that my Late Grandfather gave me when I was a Child to cheer me up when I was sick. I still have my Sindy Doll from the late 70s:)!! As for the Dolls in this awesome Catalog, my favorites were the Bridal Dolls, the Highland Dolls, 126f3 Girl Doll with the red hair in a bun that wore a lovely green dress, Doll that had a "Tom Jones" dress, Baby Doll with the hat with a winter outfit, and the Baby Doll with the floral dress:)!! This Catalog also had really super cute plush toys too:)!! My favorite of the "soft toys" are ALL the Panda Bears including Soo ( Sooty's girlfriend), Baby Blue Teddy Bear, the Mohair Bears, Biff Bunny, and Besty Bear:)!! As for the Carnival Toys, my favorite is Popsy Puss:)!! And the squeaky toy, which looks like a prelude to the Squishy Toys today is Bruin Bear is also adorable:)!! Thanks for sharing this really fun and educational antique Dolls, Bears, and other Toys in this 1966 Catalog:)!!!

Sooty (a bear) and Sweep (a dog) are 2 hand puppet characters that have been on children’s television for decades here in the uk - Soo the panda was Sooty’s girlfriend. Love watching all your video. 😊

Hi from the uk, Sooty was a glove puppet on the television about 30 years ago, he was a yellow bear, he had a friend named Sweep, and Sue was his panda girlfriend. Not thought bout them in years! Thank you! Do you have any Sindy dolls!? Xxx

Thanks for that info! No, I don't have any Sindys. I have Tammy dolls though, the closest thing that was made here in the US. Thanks for watching and commenting!

❤these dolls! Dolls from across the pond the year I was born. I totally agree with your comment on history. So many of these items are adorable, and would have been thrilling to receive.I think one of the bears was actually a bunny, the ears looked a bit long. It was on the page before all the gollywogs.

You're right, I didn't even notice that rabbit! The catalog says he came in pink or blue and white.

Enjoyed.i'm sure the stuff toy department had to be on its feet in the sixties due to the war between the protestants against the poor Catholics. The Irish war, which threats on that company in that area being bombed was probably daily.
@vintagedollcollector48284 жыл бұрын
Yes I wondered if the Troubles had something to do with the Irish doll not being called Irish. You may be right about that. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@vintagedollcollector4828 I'm mean back then all Britsh business in Irland had to be on their feet for possible bomb threats.do you know in spite of it being over, there still resentment?
