No team since the new milennium has scored more runs in a single season than that 2000 White Sox team (978). No team in the last two decades has scored more times in a year than this CHI team. That Chicago lineup was no joke- and Pedro STILL carved them up

against *THAT* white sox lineup? big hurt, el caballo, mags, paul konerko? most runs any team’s scored in the 21st century? and he only got 1 run of support? one of the best pitching performances ever tbh.

And this was a close game overall. It was a 1-0 game that Pedro was pitching against that 2000 WSOX offense. Credit to the WSOX starting pitcher, Mike Sirotka, who also pitched a complete-game-gem, but he lost.
