After watching huge holes right up the middle all day, I couldn't help but think about Ridgeway.

You couldn't help but think of a marginal, journeyman player on his 4th team just trying to stick to an NFL roster???? Do u people even know 5 players in the nfl other than on Washington's roster?

I mean he would be nice for depth but he’s not stopping the bleeding. It’s game 2 I believe they’ll get better

The record for the most field goals in a game is 8 by Rob Bironas in 2007. He played for the titans

It was not so bad that Davis got beat by Nabors, who is headed for greatness, but he then missed an easy follow-up tackle at least 2-3 times which led to long gains that could have been prevented.

I'm not sure why everybody over looking bsj impact in the game, it was by far the best game we seen out of a corner in a while ..I honestly don't think we win without him in this game !

My only comment is the celebration of our CB. As a fan, I can understand the irritation of probably any defensive player celebrating on what one might consider a routine play. But as a former football player and from watching and listening to Fred Smoot, I understand why it's totally necessary to cheer yourself, especially if you are a CB in the NFL. I just want to make this one point and let it rest ok. CB's play a boom or bust position. They are highly exposed to the point that everyone knows when they succeed or fail so building internal confidence is required for these guys and when they make a play the fans are not jumping out there seats cheering but when Chase Young gets one sack everyone is losing their minds. Then when the WR beats the CB on an in-breaking slant, fans are like we need to you to cover better and lord knows don't give up a TD on any type of play and watch the fans call for trade. We as fans have to chill and celebrate with our guys when they do anything positive because that leads to confidence and more positive plays. Guys will get beat it's the nature of football so take the good with the bad and let your guys know even if they are struggling to stay positive because all it takes is one amazing play to change the game. 😊 So, in conclusion, Juice, if you need to prop yourself to maintain confidence, then I'm cool wirh you doing you bro.

Your declarative statement is "players need to celebrate their wins on any play of their choosing IN ORDER to gain confidence." I reject this statement. You don't have to clown around after a first down pass sails over the receivers head for an incomplete pass even though the receiver probably roasted you in order to gain confidence. Confidence comes from consistent successfull play....play after play, game after.game, not your rituals after the plays are over. There is no worthwhile study one could show me that acting like st juste after a rare pass breakup leads to "more confidence " especially since that hack has had this routine since he's entered the league and at this point he remains a mediocre AT BEST cb

We have not business beings gutted up the middle of our defense like that all day last year Young and Sweat departed now so far Allen and Payne is setting themselves up for the same things!

They found a kicker! GODDAMMIT, I'LL TAKE IT!!! I don't think he has a really strong leg, so maybe we shouldn't expect many of 50 yards or more. Jayden will just have to get us a little closer! 😉 HAIL to the Redskins!!! You and I, we KNOW the REAL NAME of this football team. Yeah, Davis stunk it up real good. Beautiful teeth... try modeling instead, dude! Zach Ertz (love to say that name!) showed why they acquired him. Slow, but smart as hell and twice as dependable. B-Rob's best game so far, IMO and, as a lover of the ground game (pretty odd for a Sonny Jurgensen fanatic, I admit), I can't wait to see lots more from him. As a fan of the team since the Napoleonic Wars, real, solid HOPE feels SOOO good, doesn't it? After a quarter-century in Snyder's doghouse, the never-ending rain just MIGHT be moving out soon.

A win is a win, but we will get blown out playing this way. I do not understand why the defense is so bad. If Nabers did not drop that ball then we would NOT be talking about a win right now.

The defense is this bad because the players stink - no edge rushers - no outside corners - below.avg (so far) safety play

@@SillyGoose2024 I understand the secondary being bad because there is no hope for them talent wise. I do not understand why the CB room was neglected when it’s the worst in the NFL and has been for a couple of years now. The front should be playing better. Allen and Payne are collecting a check and disappearing. We signed 7 LBs so that unit should be better. With the defensive coaching talent we acquired everything but the secondary should be looking great.
