This documentary brings back some memories of my NS days as an AI trooper in 46 SAR during 1981 (wow, already 41 years ago!); those days we only have the AMX-13 and M113. I also miss the char kwai teow in the old coffee shop and the open air cinema just right across the small road leading to Sungai Kedong Camp, and also the coffee shop or hawker centre at the now-gone HDB estate along Lim Chu Kang Road.

Black colour is good, dirty cannot see, and dont need to wash, and can save water for Singapore, thank you for choosing black, Hope commando and all follow up with armour to choose black. Why not choose black uniform too, night time enemy cannot see u.
@dylanloo9856 Жыл бұрын
Bruh the beret colour is used to represent the different formations. The red beret is prestigiously iconic for the Commandos so no way they will change it to black. It will be boring and devaluing if every formation has the same colour beret. And what country has black combat uniforms for their soldiers? U do realise that combat can take place during the day too, right? The current pixelated pattern and colours of the number 4 uniform are good as it matches Singapore's jungle environment. Although it is not ideal for urban environments.

@@delta-romeo0263 coz respect shd be earned and not a given, regardless of rank. Since when were we allowed to film inside the Singapore army's armour camp ? Are we letting our potential enemies know what weapon systems we have ? Back in those days when I was still a full time national serviceman (20 years ago), we were never allowed to film in armour camp and upload videos onto the internet. Times have really changed and this is madness....
@bozhidarstoykov17347 ай бұрын
You realize that all the information they shared is publicly available right? And most likely the video was checked multiple times if there isn't any sensitive information that can be revealed. Most likely normal soldiers still aren't allowed to film in the armor camp.
