Peekaboo & Spooky slot canyons Utah

Join us hiking peekaboo slot canyon and Spooky slot canyon near Escalante Utah. This is a great adventure if you enjoy scrambling! This would be considered a Class 3 hike so come prepared with anything you need to scramble. We brought a rope to help with the first climb up into Peekaboo. People of any age can enjoy this one if they are still active and in pretty good physical condition. The walk in is about 1.5 miles and does include a moderately steep sand hill and a more steep rock hill. Remember....if you go down... you have to come back up!

I am impressed! Thanks for sharing your adventure. What was the drive to the trailhead like? Any vehicle, 4-wheel drive only, deep sand?

Any vehicle can make it but the washboards can be pretty rough. There was sand as well but not deep enough to get stuck. I've driven this road twice. The first trip in October of 2022 was really rough. November of 2023 the road was a bit better. I actually saw road graders out there so maybe they are doing more road maintenance?

@@NotDeadYet50 Life After 50... I can attest to LIFE AFTER 70. My wife, daughter, her three school-age children and I were nearly rear-ended by a semi-truck going 50+mph last Friday. We live vicariously through our Kids-- Antelope canyon in Page was much easier but you had to pay admission for a Navaho guide. Well worth it--And they bussed you to the entrance!!

They told me German, that the body of a fat man is hanging there between the stones. I didn´t believe it. I think they told the story of the fat man, because not so many tourists shall go there!
