Part 4 of my Hobo Style Labrador Adventure.
A huge THANK YOU to BMW Motorrad and Budds' BMW Motorrad for hooking me up with a fantastic bike, my 2019 F850GSA!
Enjoy my ride video from my solo ride to the end of the Trans Labrador Highway.
The ride started on Friday, Sept 17th. 2021.

Another great video Peter.... Brought back some awesome memories. I took a lot of the same tracks and roads starting with the ATV trail at the beginning. :-)

The accident was unfortunate but it's all in the past now. And like I said in the video, not a scratch on me. I was definitely lucky.

That was awesome ! Too bad about the bike so close to home to but the important thing is that you were ok and you got to finish your trip .

Rushing home was definitely a contributing factor to having the accident in Montreal. I wish I slowed down a bit but the pull for home was too great. In the end I'm OK and I guess it makes for a fun story. I do miss the GSA though.

LOL, 100% about Budds'! There are plenty of Beautiful bikes there For sure... I know I say it a lot in these vids, but I really was stopping every 5 minutes on this ride for pics. East coast, NFL and Labrador are breathtaking!

I was wondering before watching this video what might have happened to your GSA. Glad you didn't get hurt. When you do NFL next time and come back to Sydney try to plan a night in Meat Cove, you will love it. I have camped right on the beach there and it was amazing.

It was a bitter sweet day when they took the GSA away. Yes I got some cash from the insurance company but lost an amazing bike. As for a NS/NFL return trip, I will definitely do a bit more exploring in that area. I will check out Meat Cove.

@@PSANDEE it is a place you will never forget. Such a contrast to the rest of Canada. It’s like the Canada you hear of in history books; wild, remote and beautiful. With amazing people as well.

I agree you will have to do a full Newfoundland trip and spend more time on the island.

I'm definitely interested in that idea. I feel like I only got a slight glimpse of what the island has to offer. Will have to go back.

@@Peeohtrek did you replace your GS with a newer one? Maybe a 1250 adventure or 1300?
@Peeohtrek
@Peeohtrek 3 ай бұрын
@@InTheYard I purchased a 1290 Adventure a few weeks after but I only put 200Km on it and decided to sell it. It had nothing to do with the bike, I just wanted to ride dirt bikes with my kid and couldn't justify another bike purchase. So I compromised. I sold the 1290 and purchased a 690. Now I can ride dirt tracks with my kid and still go on a longer, solo ride here and there.

That was a beautiful journey, to bad you just had to ride through Newfoundland and not explore it. That’s one place I haven’t done yet. It was sad to see just right before the end of your journey to get into an accident. Thankfully you were okay with no injuries and made it home safe.
@Peeohtrek

Thanks. Yeah, I really wish I had the extra few days to explore NFL rather than just racing through it. But it is what it is. I’ll just have to go back one day. I was lucky not to get injured. The bike is missed but I think I would miss a leg way more lol. I’ll keep an eye out on your insta for when you will take the AT out to Lab/NFL. Your videos and pics, on both insta and here, are incredible.

@@Peeohtrek true it is what it is but hey at last you been there even for a short experience. Most definitely you were lucky and you didn’t got hurt, I feel you on the bike yet your well being is more important. Thank you much appreciated. I did the East coast back in 2019 but I never got on that ferry. Hopefully someday

The western coast of Newfoundland is absolutely amazing. That's great of Stephen to share the cabin with you. Getting a good rest on the boat makes for a much easier ride the next day.

running into Stephen was a great little bonus. The guy was an amazing and experienced ADV rider. I thought I could impress him with my story of just riding the Trans Lab and then he goes and tells me about his ride from the Alaska. LOL.

@xnopyt13 I miss that bike. It has been an amazing adventure bike for sure. But yes, a bike can be replaced but my life can’t. Overall it’s was a great little ride. With the passage of time, I’m forgetting the agony of the bike being lost and am just looking back on the ride. In that sense it’s still a great ride.

It took so long to edit this video that I already had 2 bikes. LOL. Yeah the people in rush hour traffic in QC are a different breed of angry and lane possessive. They never caught the break-checker but realistically, I made it out without a scratch so I should count myself lucky.
