16:48 Apparently there was an advert run, just before this edition of QI and on the TVs in the dressing rooms of each of the cast, in which subliminal messaging was used to tell people that subliminal messaging in adverts has never been shown to work.

Once I learned if I was naked in a dream, it WAS a dream, and I then had partial control. Fun while it lasted, but my subconscious has moved to more banal situations.

On a death related tangent, there was/is a guy in Australia who you could pay to turn up at your funeral and read out a prepared statement from you. He showed(s) up very well dressed and delivers your message in a very straight manner. 😎

I have had recurring themes in many dreams where I am driving a car(I actually owned) which in the dream, becomes a bicycle and than on foot each not being able to move normally. Each time feeling hobbled.

I was in a psych class when the teacher tried it. I was really trying to go along, but when he told folks to spread their arms wide the girl sitting to my left smacked both me and the person on the other side of her in the nose.

The people who can't be hypnotised are the insane, very small children, intoxicated ... anyone who can't concentrate. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. The other person is just a guide. Otherwise, if you're a willing participant, you can be but they may as well stop trying.

Bees need pollen, not homey. They consume the pollen and make honey. Only the larva are fed honey and some of them get "Queen's Honey" to prepare them to become queens.

Yes, but in terms of an immediate glucose boost to get them flying again, honey or sugar water makes more sense and is far more practical.

I believe they collect nectar, to make honey, but at the same time get pollen on their legs and pass it on to other flowers which achieves essential pollination, but it's an accidental byproduct of the act of collecting the nectar.
