I have a friend but not gonna mention his name. He and I have been frnds ever since we were 2 years old and now we're both 21. He had a past that none is informed about apart from me and his girlfriend. His mum had affair with another guy apparently after 15 years of marriage when he was 14 years old. My frnd confronted his mum, his mum never got involved into these after that. My frnd thought everything is over and fine, but he overlooked the indirect effect it had on him. He never saw peace between his mum and dad, he was always super inferior with his own relationships. He sometimes discusses this with me that because of that incident, he feels like he has betrayed his father by not telling him the truth. He also feels like he only prevented a potential divorce between his mum and dad but both never got along after that as husband and wife. He suffers a lot emotionally still after so many years but he doesn't know what he should do to fix it. And even I don't know what he should do. I think alok shouldn't get back bcos even if she comes back thinking about her children, but never accepts alok emotionally it's gonna get worse for the children only. We as kids learn a lot from our parents, so if anything seems to be off it can largely impact the kids.

I can relate to this incident. I have been the victim of the same in 2012. I even narrated my story to #deepikabhardwaj in email. I am unsure if she remembers as she encounters this daily. I got married to someone who was already in relationship with a married man. She just married me for the sake of society and family, so she can continue her affair with him. I came to know about all this within a month of marriage. We stayed together only for 3 months and then seperated and got divorced a year later. But even when she was the one who cheated me, I was asked to pay monthly maintenance of 15k to her till we get divorce and she was an educated and earning person. Those three months were the worst part of my life. I was humiliated, traumatized and suffered mentally. So many times I thought of committing suicide. I was the only son and sole bread winner for my family. And that's what stopped me every time. Imagine someone visiting your place in your absence and sleeping with your wife, imagine reading her chats, where they discussed how she enjoyed spending night with him just after 4 days of my marriage. Imagine, reading her dirty chats about how they performed sexual act. Imagine, finding out that they were planning to get rid of me. I don't know how I survived all that. Thanks to the support from my family especially my mother. I am now happily married to someone who was also a victim of cheating from her ex. She understands the pain as she has suffered herself. Adultery should be criminalised no matter if it's a man or a woman. It effects you mentally and sadly no one cares about mental wellness.
