Foot switch at Harbor Freight $13.99. Works great. They have 2 models: press on, lift foot off & a press on press off. I have them both & use them for different things.

Looking forward to see you do a more in depth review and if you do actually remove the dust collection system, please include that as well.

I would like to know I see you have had yous for 2 years I'm thinking about buying one have you had any problems with your saw and how often do you use it your help would appreciate your comments thanks

It’s been flawless since I’ve had it! Never run into a single issue. I didn’t love the customer support from Bear Wood Supply where I bought it but the machine itself is definitely worth the price!

i know this is a great saw and im looking to upgrade but in all honestly i was told that the hegner was the best saw on the market,,and cost wise its actually not much more expensive than the pegas,,,plus has a 7 yr warranty,,did you consider the hegner before you bought this saw,,

I think when I got this saw they were relatively new to the market so it was significantly cheaper than the Hegner. I really wanted a Hegner (I also heard they were the best) but it just wasn't in the budget. Now that they're similar in price I'd have to go back and do some research on which one to get, although I will say I am very happy with the Pegas so it would be a tough decision

Hi, do you know how this saw compares to the Carbatec 21" saw? That's the only high end scroll saw brand available in NZ as far as I know. Enjoyed your video, thanks! Kate from NZ

It looks like it's made by the same manufacturer so I would say it's the exact same thing in a different color. When I google "Carbatec 21 inch saw" here in the US the first thing that pops up is my Pegas saw! So I'm going to say they're the same machine 😀

Does it cost you $800? This is a very good price! Because where I live (my country is considered one of the poorest in Europe, with the lowest income of the population), such a machine costs $ 1,200 or more.
@SamMacyDesigns3 жыл бұрын
It was just under $800 when I bought it. From what I hear the price has gone up significantly since then because they've become much more popular, they really pushed sales in the last year or so.

@@SamMacyDesigns You're lucky! I also wanted to buy such a machine. Saved up $1200. But I couldn't find one at that price. At the moment, these machines can actually be purchased in our stores for the amount of 1800-2200 dollars. For me, this amount is very large. So I bought a machine from another manufacturer. It is three times cheaper. Maybe someday I can afford to buy the same machine as you have in this video.

Bear woods was so complicated first I notice I was charged a foreign transaction fee from my bank but at the time I thought it was from bearwoods so I emailed them and they said no thats when I talked with my bank and they said they charged me for buying outside of the US so there's nothing I could do there. Then after telling bearwoods that, they said they noticed they made a mistake and now "need my help" to pay an extra 50 dollars like how is that my fault. So then I told to just use the 50 dollar gift card that was suppose to come with my order because I didn't feel like paying more from my money or making a PayPal account just cause they made a mistake. Third I buy the starter pack but they tell they don't have the drill adapter so they would have to put it on back order so I said okay until what I explained in the second part happened so I told them never mind. Third I received 1 of 3 packages like in 2 weeks and that was the foot switch and starter pack I opened it the file wasn't even mascot brand, the small steel square was missing, and one of the scroll saw blades bag was open because they put another dozen blades in there that I bought but I guess they might have ran out of bags but they could have just put some tape so that they don't come out. I emailed them again and told them why they put that there's a steel square if I didn't get one that they should change the picture and the details to what is included cause I didn't get mine. I got mad so I stopped talking with them. It took like 2 months after the first package that I was supposed to get the big one which was the machine but ups delivered it to someone else so it took another week for them to find it. In the end I paid over 1000 for the machine, the stand, foot switch and starter pack.
@justmake66013 жыл бұрын
Oh and parts of the stand was missing but thats on ups but I made it work with something else. I was so unmotivated because of everything that happened the machine is just sitting there next to a bunch of wood that I bought before I received any package

Sorry to hear that! It sounds like you had an all around bad experience. I've had issues with some things being backordered as well, I mentioned to them that it could be helpful to have an "out of stock" banner for items that they don't have on hand. That was really my only slightly negative experience. I think they're a relatively small company and probably overwhelmed with the newfound popularity of the Pegas scroll saw. I hope they are able to make things right for you! I think you should get out there and use that saw regardless of where it came from :) you don't want to let them get your down on your wood working, you want to keep it fun!

Hey!! Are the Pegas and Excalibur the same saw? What is the difference between 16' 21' and 30' models? Thank you!!
@SamMacyDesigns3 жыл бұрын
Great question! They are definitely different saw but I bet you'll find a lot of similarities. The main difference is probably the tensioning system and the blade chuck head. I looked at an Excalibur when I was shopping around and decided that I liked the Pegas better in the end! And the difference between the 16, 21, and 30 is the length of the top arm and the length of the table. Think of it as small, medium, and large. Hope that helps!
