Rob Zombie rose to fame as the lead singer of his band White Zombie (which was formed in the 80's w/ his then-girlfriend Sean Yseult on bass)... White Zombie scored an MTV hit "Thunder kiss '65" from their 1992 album 'La sexoricisto'... The band used samples from campy old movies and beats, mixed w/ punk rock riffs and disco grooves... In 1995, White Zombie had their biggest record 'Astro Creep 2000'... w/ the MTV hit 'More human than human'... Rob Zombie also directed the music videos. In 1997, Rob Zombie opted to break up White Zombie and launched his solo career in 1998 w/ this album 'Hellbilly deluxe'... it outsold the last White Zombie album ... 'Dragula' was inspired by 'The Munsters' TV series - Grandpa Munster built a car for a drag race that he named the 'Drag-ula' which Herman Munster drove on an episode... His solo music has been similar to what he was doing w/ White Zombie... Other hits on the record included - 'Living dead girl' ... 'Spookshow baby' ... ''Superbeast'... 🔥🤘 It was a mix of Halloween and campy horror themes. Rob Zombie scored another platinum success in 2001 w/ his 2nd solo album 'The Sinister urge'... w/ the singles - "Feel so numb" ... 'Never gonna stop' ... 'Scum of the Earth'... His success inspired him to make his own movies, which included 'House of 1000 corpses'... (which starred his wife Sheri Moon Zombie) as well as 2 remakes of the 'Michael Myers' horror classic 'Halloween'. Besides recording and touring as a solo artist, Rob Zombie recently made his own 'The Munsters' comedy movie like a prequel to the series... w/ Sheri Moon Zombie as 'Lily Munster' (originally played by Yvonne DeCarlo) and Jeff Daniel Philips as 'Herman Munster' (originally played by Fred Gwynne)

Love this reaction! Rob’s music is inspired by Zombie's love of horror films. He’s apparently a really nice guy in real life. I’ve seen a few interviews and he comes off as down to earth and very intelligent. Despite his his “image”, Rob is a self-described ethical vegan, he and his wife (of many years) use one of their properties to house rescued animals. In an interview, he said that he avoids the use of all alcohol and drugs.

Dragula was the name of Grandpa Munsters car in the 60s TV show The Munsters. It was designed and built by George Barris of Barris customs in California. The song was also featured in the first Matrix in the scene where Neo first meets Trinity

Rob Zombie was the front man of the band White Zombie. He went solo and did music from then on under his own name. His brother is the front man of the band Power man 5000 who's name is Spider I believe. Rob's voice is iconic IMO. Very unique and has a dark quality. He became a director later and began making movies.

I meet rob zombie here in Brisbane when he released the album "educated horses", surprisingly it was a rather small indi record store, i managed to have a 10min general chat and the guy was nice and down to earth. he is so creative, musically and through film.

My dad took me to a Zombie concert in STL. My dad doesn't like the pit where I was and was standing super side stage to find a place to lean for his back. Zombie ended up talking to my dad as he walked off stage. My dad - who is so chill and never gets "starstruck" was like "zombie's pretty cool" after i met him at the end of the concert. I was so mad my dad got meet him and not me! My parents ended up seeing him around Vegas (they have a condo and used to hang out in places he frequented) and both said he is so down to earth and chill.

White Zombie did a cameo in tbe 1994 movie Airheads. Bar scene with Chris Farley they are the band playing in the back ground. Flee from Red Hot Chili Peppers was also in that movie. Sherri Moon appears in all of his videos and on stage for concerts usually as a go -go dancer. Their son and Sherri are both in the re-make of Halloween which he directed. He also wrote, directed, and produced House of 10,000 Corpse's .From the start he is know for being very controlling over the creative content and the recording, mixing process. He loves to use the "Wall of Sound " effect developed by Phil Specter which layers multiple tracks recorded with different tone or pitch, and this can give a travel effect by moving the sound through different frequencies. If you manipulate the bass and treble with the proper speaker set up (I added a surround sound system) which makes it sound like the instrumentals are moving from one speaker to another and by playing the track at different volume levels you will hear different ad-libs and sound bite clips from old horror movies to running water. It is very intricate and personal. I've listen to him since 1994 when they were putting out underground tapes and devil music diaries. Sean was my idol and she is so talented and her stage presence is very impressive. They did a musical guest feature on the David Letter Man Show that just blew my mind. Rob and Sean meet in a private music school and we considered the odd balls and gravitated to each other to form a close personal relationship which resulted in the formation of White Zombie. The best video representation of Sean's energy is in a live performance video of "Welcome to the Planet M.F. " They clashed a lot of creative content which eventually caused the split. They guitar rift from "More Human Than A Human" overcame "Smoke on the Water" for the most sampled slide piece and was highly sought after commercially for use as sports hype Arena event / walk in music.Rob is also a very talented graphic artist there is an obscure video interview that showcases his art work and sketch drawings. The best concert ever in my life was 1998 at the Ice Palace in Tampa FL with Pantera, Korn, and Rob Zombie the only drawback for me personally was not seeing Sean perform and no older music in the playset ( maybe legal issues from the split) but the theatrics were just amazing. Rob Zombie is known for spectacular visuals in his live shows and you definitely get all of the ticket price back from the quality of his shows.
