I m frm kerala( South India) .. Its actually Pappadum... because it's mother land is south India..It is mainly used in meals..now it is common in north India also..they call it as Papad.. Its our പപ്പടം😊

Both pappadam n papad is correct... North Indians call it papad.... And in a south Indian state, Kerala people call it as pappadam..... It actually has different names in different states of South india...

Hi peggie.. As India is multilingual we have almost 780 languages, papad is Hindi language which is the national language. So anything is ok for us.. Yes please. Do a video only eating papads as we Indian have variety of papads.., some made of rice some of lentils etc and of different shapes too.. Love ur videos

Hey Peggie thank you again for trying Indian Food You rightly pronounced oothappam .Its a South Indian dish eaten mostly for breakfast Pappadam or Papad means the same Pappadam is said by people of Kerala and Tamilnadu well they are two different states of South India The word Papad is mostly used in North India.

It will be more tasty when u ve good combination With dosa, only coconut chutney (ur left) and sambar (above the coconut chutney), for oothapam sambar ( cocunut chutney and to ur right 2nd sambhar) , for parotta only kurma (tour right 1st item) will be good

If it's roasted on top of fire it's papad. It's deep fried tat in South India we call it " appalam". It's accompanied with rice.
