A long time ago in an LA galaxy far, far away, my mother worked with a very sweet and lovely Thai lady. The Thai lady wanted to stay in the US so she married an old gay guy. Anyway, we were invited to a Thai feast made by the Thai lady's brother (who was also a Thai chef). He took no pity on the white people there and made most of the food the way Thai people liked it (in other words 10/10 spice level). I was addicted to the papaya salad. It was HOT as HELL. As soon as my mouth had recovered I would go back for more. I think I impressed the chef. I absolutely adored the food that night. What an experience!
