Classic swing singing! You'd better believe this is going straight to the playlist! These sort of songs specifically are just the greatest! Rest in peace Peggy Lee, your music was the greatest!

“Why don’t you do right?” And the song’s rhythm makes me think certain parts of my life aren’t so different from back then. My boss yelled at me at least 4 times (I think it was 6) like he was going to write me up or really upset in a single 4 hour day (I have to keep chipping away at that college degree to ascend tax drudgery because of the politically blue saint complexes adding up taxes and making 60k into 35 with 22 income and 6 SocSec just federally) and this just reminds me of how Werner’s father got treated and how he bends over backwards for his boss *in the German comic turned film Werner-Beinhart!* It actually makes me think of how in terms of culture certain areas like my rural town still carry that, many other people from many other backgrounds would’ve retorted (African, Hispanic, Irish) or simply quit (English, Swedish, French), but here I am standing in The Head chef‘s office of a kitchen in a private country club that chews through dishwashers like water, simply just trying to use the back of a business card because all the sticky notes in his office were gone and I had to write the time I left because I left later than seven minutes to clock out on the machine, and he tells me firmly and loudly, “stop, stop it, what did I say? don’t touch that! Those are expensive!” And looks at me like I stepped over some irritating invisible line… when all I wanna do is just write on the back of a dime a dozen business card with a pencil my hours and get out of his way, and before that he said “ what are you, dumb? Why didn’t you tell me someone was calling (on the phone) in my office” I told him I thought him he knew, to which she replied dear gosh, can’t you think Josh?!” And all I say is yes chef, but, can’t I just, response and I have worked there for six months (my heritage is German), if I do nothing he’ll yell at me for doing nothing before finding some thing for me to do. He’s a good guy but he reminds me of the type that purely got a degree and then went out and started thinking everyone should be doing everything perfect, and he’s still a nice guy to know he just has those edges like an unrefined person put in a position of management to the lowest employees.

@Alexander Wilson original is much closer to jazz than to swing. But I don't say that this track is bad. I just like the original.
