So much wisdom here, backed up with Scriptures. My plan is to study them all. Thank you PJRM. This is amazing. I have been wondering for some time now the difference between being saved vs. being Baptized in Jesus' Name (Being Baptized in the Holy Spirit). 💛 There's a difference. This is the clarity I needed. Idk why, but I pray in tongues more in my sleep than when I'm awake and not often. I do desire it and been prayed over for it many times. I've experienced the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit by "being slain" a bazillion tines since the 90s, and get dream visions from the Lord 🙏🏽✝️❤

id say this is because your spirit is more active at night when you soul is sleeping. Bless your spirit when you wake up and ask it to come to the surface so that you are led by your spirit and not your soul during the day. We are Spirit Soul and Body, unfortunately our souls find it hard to submit to our spirits as we have been taught incorrectly about our design.

Understanding God's word, the Bible, is necessary for life. We can differentiate between the present dispensation and eternity. The following two paragraphs are from my sermon "Decency and Order". "Chapter 13 of I Corinthians depicts a time period from the dispensation of the gifts among the early church unto the transformation from the 'body of our humiliation' unto the 'body of his glory' (Phil. 3:21). Knowledge shall vanish away (I Cor. 13:8). There is a contrast between 'partial' knowledge, which exists now; and with 'full' knowledge, whereas one shall know even as he has been known (I Cor. 13:12). In order for the greater to become existent, the lesser must be annulled--that will happen when 'that which is perfect' comes (I Cor. 13:10). "If the dispensation of the gifts, even though they be from 'part' (I Cor. 13:9), existed from the early church era and will continue to exist until that which is perfect is come (an everlasting era in the future), ... the longevity of the dispensation of the gifts includes our contemporary era."

Don’t get discouraged, just keep asking the Lord. Luke 11:5-13 talks about being persistent in asking and God giving the Holy Spirit. Keep asking and the gift will eventually come ❤️

Dear Peggy, do you have a video on this topic.. What do we do... When we have a relative, a friend, a boyfriend /girlfriend, who is not necessarily a believer, who is not active in learning more about God and in receiving his or her deliverance from their demons. Possibly don't believe in it. But they are tortured by the demons of suicide, Rejection, certain personality disorders (but not narcissism), self-harm, self-sabotaging.. Had a lifetime of abuse. (I had a lifetime of abuse too. But I'm a follower of God) This person is not active in trying to get pills that can help somehow, finds some explanation like he heard he can't get his hands on it prescription-free, But he can. I don't even wait for him to see a therapist, a psychiatrist. Because I myself was attacked by many therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, narcissistic Psychology teachers lectured in my university... So I know it's tremendously difficult to go seek help. He doesn't tell me much about what's going on with him, how he feels. But I sense it. I can't put out my life and dedicate my life to helping this person, because I have a lot of problems of my own and I know a single individual, someone other than God, can't help. I am very grateful for the good things that this person has done and keeps doing for me, So I'm not leaving him

Speaking in tongues is not only a gift (1 Corinthians 12:4 & v10), it is 1 of the 5 powers of miraculous signs and wonders of the Apostles (Mark 16:17). The only way a believer can perform the miraculous sign and wonder of speaking in tongues is by an Apostle (Acts 1:15-26) baptizing you with the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:5) by placing hands on you (Acts 19:6 & Acts 8:17) or by an Apostle speaking to you (Acts 10:44 & Acts 11:15). All the Apostles are dead, the believers they lay hands on or spoke to are dead and the 7 chosen men (Acts 6:2-6 & Acts 6:8 & Acts 8:6-8) are dead so the miraculous sign and wonder of speaking in tongues is non-existing along with the other 4 miraculous signs and wonders. We must follow the bible example of this subject. FOLLOW PATTERN & EXAMPLE 2 Timothy 1:13 Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching you have heard from me, with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:17 carefully observe those who walk according to the pattern we set for you. 1 Corinthians 4:6 Do not go beyond what is written...

The one thing Peggy is not mentioning is our human spirits, when you read all the verses that talk about our spirits you will see they can be in all kinds of pain, grief, hurts. We must minister to and receive healing in our spirits if we want the gift of tongues but have not yet received it. Its their in all of us it just needs to be activated unfortunately its not as straight forward as it seems on the surface for some people.

@@DoubleRainbows-fp6ih thank you for your reply however i was talking about our human spirits not our thoughts God made us SPIRT, SOUL AND BODY, our spirits are the part of us that the gift of tongues comes through. If our spirits are not ministered too and healed it can block what Father God has to give us. it can also stop us from hearing the Voice of our Lord. Our soul can only understand a limited amount of SPIRITUAL things whereas its our Spirits that the holy spirt will come into and abide from. I know for my self i never received the gift of tongues until my spirit was healed. Dan Duval and Arthur Burke teach on how to minister to our human spirits, its really not hard it just a matter of acknowledging we actually have a human spirit and asking Abba to heal it.
