Pehredaar Piya Ki is the story of an unusual marriage between a 9-year-old boy, Ratan Harshvardhan Singh and an 18-year old girl, Diya. Diya sacrifices her own dreams and wilfully gets married to Ratan to become his protector. While Diya takes up her duty of a wife and willfully commits to the relationship, Ratan is enamored by her beauty and considers her to be a pari from the fairy tales he has heard from his Maasa. Though being a miss matched couple, both create a comfortable world for themselves. While 9-year-old husband tries to cheer up his wife Diya with his cute gestures, Diya keeps up the promise to protect him and nurture their relationship. one of the most entertaining show...truly reflects the Rajasthan culture which is hardly shown in any of the shows nowadays.. won't criticise the marriage of 9 year old boy bcoz the show is just for entertainment and yes it is entertaining... so definitely thumbs up for the show .. Actually I am not encouraging the show..but would like to highlight something. We adults are observing the serial from an adult's point of view. If we see it from a child's point of view, he thinks that a FAIRY and a WIFE are one and the same thing. The kid is not aware of the serious responsibility of the marriage relationship. The lady is aware, but marries the kid to protect him. The point is not to show a sexual relationship but the idea of the Vow of protection in a marriage ritual

U r OK. These things happened in our history. U r enjoying art at its purest form. In this country, we have shows, which shows many things as normal in prime time like: Extra marital affairs Beating women Red street ladies life Murdering family members Heroines with no self respect Heroes doing spy work for enemy countries Cheating and marrying by telling lies Stalking ladies Passing comments on body parts Abusive mother in law or daughter in law Corrupt police,medical practitioners, judges, business people, mafias Doing drug business, injecting them .... Ghost and snake horror ones Everything is fine. And children wont get affected. These parents who complained don't trust the wisdom of their children, and they fail to provide good culture to them. Fantasies shall be treated as Fantasies and art, and shall never be banned in a country like India. This shows our great intolerance to silly things and shows our weakness. This shows that in between we lost the value of our culture. We didn't see the positive creative side, we saw only one thing, that young children will be adversely affected. Pity our people's thoughts.
