Best idea I've seen yet, I will try it and glue the bottom of the glass to the heated bed so I can do away with the clips altogether. Thanks for sharing.

I've been inspired by your idea and I'm thinking about trying it. Just wanted to know how this would work if you are bed leveling with a 4mm inductive probe. Right now I have glass with a heated bed on top and some copper tape for the inductive probe. Instead of that, I was thinking of using PEI on an aluminum bed...just not sure if adding the thickness of the two magnetic sheets would make the distance too far to detect the aluminum underneath. It's too bad the magnetic sheet does not get detected by the inductive probe on its own (I tried). You have a great idea though!

Buy some thin steel sheet, glue the PEI at it and this steel sheet will stick to the magnet and also be perfectly sensed by the inductive probe that is calibrated to be 4mm over steel :D The steel also makes a great material to twist and remove parts. I still curious about the magnetic properties over time with higher temperatures....

How does the adhesive fridge magnet material holding now with the temperature after some time using?
